摘要: Systems and methods for authenticating users using a smart ring are disclosed. An exemplary method includes collecting contact data indicating a sequence of taps of the smart ring while a user is wearing the ring, a tap corresponding to contact between the ring and a component and the sequence of taps corresponding to a candidate pattern. The method further includes performing an authentication operation by (i) comparing the candidate pattern to an authentication pattern for a known user to determine whether the candidate pattern matches the authentication pattern and (ii) when the candidate pattern matches the authentication pattern, authenticating the user by updating a record to indicate the user has been identified and authenticated as the known user. In response to the record indicating that the user has been authenticated, the method includes, transmitting a signal to a second device controlling access to the resource, and receiving access to the resource.

摘要: A fingerprint sensing method based on touch pressure in a black screen mode of a touch input device according to the embodiment of the present invention includes: sensing first pressure which has a value equal to or greater than a first predetermined threshold value and is applied by an object in the black screen mode; determining continuously after sensing the first pressure whether second pressure which has a value equal to or greater than a second predetermined threshold value and is different from the first pressure is sensed or not; recognizing a fingerprint of the object when the second pressure is sensed; determining whether or not the recognized fingerprint is identical to a fingerprint previously registered in the touch input device; and performing a predetermined operation when the recognized fingerprint is identical to the previously registered fingerprint.

The authentication biometric identify information captured during an authentication session. The authentication biometric identify information may comprise or be derived from one or more images of the user being authenticated. The authentication biometric identify information is compared to root identify biometric information. The root identify biometric information is captured from a trusted source, such as trusted devices located at trusted locations, such as a government entity, financial institution, or business. Identity verification may occur by comparing the trusted root identify biometric information to the biometric identify information captured during an authentication session. Liveness determination may also occur to verify the user is a live person. Liveness determination may include comparing two images of the user such that the two images are captured at different distances from the user.

The method may additionally include identifying a thermal anomaly by comparing the baseline thermal signature to a current thermal image of the face of the subject. The method may further include identifying a condition of the subject based on the thermal anomaly.

The electronic device includes a transparent member, a display positioned under a transparent member that includes a plurality of pixels, an image sensor positioned under some areas of the display, a memory, and a processor. The processor obtains a first image at least based on light output through at least some of the plurality of pixels and reflected by an external object coming into contact with the transparent member using the image sensor, performs authentication on the external object at least based on the at least one template using the first image, generates a second image of the external object at least based on the first image when quality of the first image corresponds to a given condition based on a result of the authentication, and performs authentication on the external object at least based on the at least one template using the second image.

摘要: The invention provides a fingerprint lock control method and a fingerprint lock system. The system at least comprises a fingerprint lock, a server and an electronic device. 摘要: A biometric recognition system for a vehicle includes a support portion, a vein reader sensor disposed on the support portion, and a control member configured to control a function of the vehicle. The control member has a top surface and a bottom surface and defines an opening extending through the control member from the top surface to the bottom surface. The control member is moveable relative to the support portion to a first position. The opening is aligned with the vein reader sensor and the top surface is a first distance from the vein reader sensor when the control member is in the first position. The first distance is configured to optimize biometric verification of an operator's hand gripping the control member.

摘要: Time lapse, characteristic of aging, is a complex process that affects the reliability and security of biometric face recognition systems. Systems and methods use deep learning, in general, and convolutional neural networks (CNN), in particular, for automatic rather than hand-crafted feature extraction for robust face recognition across time lapse. A CNN architecture using the VGG-Face deep (neural network) learning produces highly discriminative and interoperable features that are robust to aging variations even across a mix of biometric datasets. The features extracted show high inter-class and low intra-class variability leading to low generalization errors on aging datasets using ensembles of subspace discriminant classifiers.
