Abstract: A medical system includes an input assembly for receiving one or more user inputs. The input assembly includes at least one slider assembly for providing an input signal. Processing logic receives the input signal from the input assembly and provides a first output signal and a second output signal. A display assembly is configured to receive, at least in part, the first output signal from the processing logic and render information viewable by the user. The second output signal is provided to one or more medical system components. The information rendered on the display assembly may be manipulatable by the user and at least a portion of the information rendered may be magnified.

Abstract: A sliding portion of a slider slides on a sliding surface of a base. This slider is biased toward the base by a stabilizer formed by an elastic, small-diameter, rod-shaped member. Specifically, the stabilizer is formed by a center portion, a link portion, a spring portion, and an abutting portion. When the abutting portion abuts an abutting recess of a cover attached over the slider to be biased toward the base, the spring portion plastically deforms about an arc portion. Due to a resulting reaction force, a pressing portion formed by the center portion biases the sliding portion of the slider toward the base. Accordingly, play may be suppressed with a small number of components.

Abstract: An actuating element, actuator device, and a control device are included in an operating device for a motor vehicle. The actuating element detects a user actuation and is movably mounted. The actuator device has an electromagnet and a permanent magnet. The control device applies a first electrical current to the electromagnet, by which the electromagnet applies a first magnetic force to the permanent magnet, which deflects the actuating element out of a rest position. The deflection of the actuating element can be felt as a brief jolt without reverberation. An elastically deformable restoring device presses or pulls the actuating element with a restoring force toward the rest position against a mechanical stop element.

Abstract: A position indicator includes a first resonance circuit including an inductor and a capacitor, a second resonance circuit including the first resonance circuit and a variation device configured to vary a resonance frequency or a phase of the second resonance circuit in response to an act of a user, and a switch circuit configured to perform changeover between the first resonance circuit and the second resonance circuit. Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a throwing apparatus that includes a projectile that slides on a rail. In one example, as the user makes a throwing action, the projectile slides along the rail and locks into place at an end of the rail. In response, the throwing apparatus launches a virtual object representing the projectile along a virtual path extending away from the throwing apparatus. The apparatus may include an emitter that transmits a signal indicative of the signal path of the virtual object. An external device receiving the signal can determine whether the device is on the path and whether it is struck by the virtual object. The apparatus may also include a speaker that outputs a sound simulating the projectile flying through free space. The speaker may change the volume of the sound depending on whether the virtual object is moving away or towards the throwing apparatus.
