Abstract: The invention relates to electronic indexing, and more particularly, to the indexing, in a cloud, data held in a cloud. Systems and methods of the invention index data by accessing the data in place in the cloud and breaking a job into work items and sending the work items to multiple cloud processes that can each determine whether to index data associated with the work item or to create a new work item and have a different cloud process index the data. Each cloud process is proximal to an item that it indexes. This gives the system scale as well as an internal load-balancing.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system and method for generating an enhanced index for documents contained in a knowledge base. Documents or configuration snapshots are tokenized and then passed through a number of filters. The filters modify the token stream to generate an enhanced token stream for the document by removing words from the stream and adding domain level knowledge to the tokens in the stream. The token stream is then added to the index for the document so that searches can be completed against the knowledge base when searches are generated from configuration snapshots or from inputted search queries.

Abstract: The present subject matter relates to analysis of time-series data based on world events derived from unstructured content. According to one embodiment, a method comprises obtaining event information corresponding to at least one world event from unstructured content obtained from a plurality of data sources. The event information includes at least time of occurrence of the world event, time of termination of the world event, and at least one entity associated with the world event. Further, the method comprises retrieving time-series data pertaining to the entity associated with the world event from a time-series data repository. Based on the event information and the time-series data, the world event is aligned and correlated with at least one time-series event to identify at least one pattern indicative of cause-effect relationship amongst the world event and the time-series event.
