摘要: A method for displaying a hologram to a variable direction including using circuitry to determine a direction from a holographic projector to a viewer for projecting a hologram to a viewer, and projecting a hologram in the determined direction, in which the projecting the hologram includes reflecting from a same mirror as the determining the direction of the viewer, and the circuitry controls the projecting the hologram to a direction corrected for a difference in direction between a projecting unit and a tracking unit relative to the mirror. Related apparatus and methods are also described.

摘要: Disclosed are methods and systems for displaying images, and for implementing volumetric user interfaces. One exemplary embodiment provides a system comprising: a light source; an image producing unit, which produces an image upon interaction with light approaching the image producing unit from the light source; an eyepiece; and a mirror, directing light from the image to a surface of the eyepiece, wherein the surface has a shape of a solid of revolution formed by revolving a planar curve at least 180° around an axis of revolution.

摘要: The present invention relates to embodiments of a process for subjecting a holographic storage medium to illuminative treatment to: (1) enhance or optimize recording of holographic data; (2) enhance or optimize reading of recorded holographic data; and/or (3) erase recorded holographic data. The present invention also relates to embodiments of a system comprising: (a) an illuminative treatment beam; (b) means for reducing the coherence of the beam and (c) means for transmitting the reduced coherence beam to cause illuminative treatment of: (1) an unrecorded portion of a holographic storage medium to provide pre-cured portions having increased ability to stably record holographic data; (2) a recorded portion of a holographic storage medium to provide a post-cured portion having reduced residual sensitivity; and/or (3) a recorded portion of a holographic storage medium having holographic data to provide an erased portion wherein at least some of the recorded holographic data is erased.

摘要: A backlight module, a spatial light modulator, a holographic display device and a holographic display method therefor are disclosed. The backlight module includes: a light source; an optical conversion element arranged to face the light source and configured to convert a light beam emitted by the light source into coherent collimated light; and a light switch layer disposed at a side of the optical conversion element away from the light source. The optical conversion element includes a plurality of sub-optical conversion regions. The light switch layer includes a plurality of sub-light switches, the plurality of sub-light switches and the plurality of sub-optical conversion regions being disposed in one-to-one correspondence.

摘要: Apparatus and methods for Coherent Diffractive Imaging with multiple, simultaneous, spatially distinct beams chosen and configured to isolate incoherent sums of beam diffraction such that interference between the multiple beams is not present in the data prior to computationally reconstructing the image. This is accomplished through selecting the multiple beams to be non-interfering modes, or through designing the apparatus such that the interference is not recorded, or through processing the collected data to filter the interference before reconstructing the image.
