Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes: an initial solution generator that generates, from input images, as an initial solution, internal data of one or more screen images of a layered image, the layered image including multiple screen images consisting of the one or more screen images and one end image; an image generator that iterates a process of generating internal data of the multiple screen images; and a controller that, when a termination condition is satisfied, outputs, as data of the layered image, the finally generated internal data of the multiple screen images. The image generator generates internal data of the multiple screen images from the initial solution in a first round of the process, and then until the termination condition is satisfied, in each round of the process, generates new internal data of the multiple screen images from the internal data generated in the previous round of the process.

A minimized-thickness angular scanner of electromagnetic radiation includes an optical sandwich having a two-dimensional (2D) image source, and a scanning assembly that includes a first optic and a second optic, wherein at least one of the first optic and the second optic are oscillatorily translating. Translation of the optics provides for generation of a three-dimensional (3D) image, while the optical sandwich design provides for compact implementation of 3D displays.

The 3D stereo glasses have first and second lens passing colored light in first and second ranges of wavelengths. The display system includes a 3D mural element with a display surface facing the viewing space and a light receiving surface opposite the display surface. The display system includes a first wavelength multiplex visualization (WMV) light source outputting a first light stream onto the light receiving surface, and the first light stream has a wavelength in the first range of wavelengths. The display system includes a second WMV light source outputting a second light stream onto the light receiving surface, and the second light stream has a wavelength in the second range of wavelengths. WMV light sources may be directed onto 3D surfaces and props in the viewing space providing 3D effect.

Abstract:
A projector system includes an imaging device operable to direct light to a reflective screen, and an active light steering element placed in the light path between the imaging device and the screen. The steering element is operable to sequentially scan the light across the screen. The steering element may be used to temporally multiplex images at different viewpoints. The steering element enables trade-offs to be made between spatial, temporal, color and/or viewpoint resolutions of the images displayed by the imaging device.
