    摘要: Disclosed a display screen having a mirror function, a control method, a device and a terminal. The display screen includes: a screen lens (20), a liquid crystal screen (22) and a nano suspension layer (21), wherein the nano suspension layer (21) is disposed between the screen lens and the liquid crystal display. The control method includes: controlling the magnetic layer to provide a static magnetic field perpendicular to the display screen upon receipt of the trigger-off signal; and controlling the upper plate to provide a voltage, or controlling the upper plate to provide a voltage and controlling the magnetic layer to provide a static magnetic field perpendicular to the display screen upon receipt of the trigger-on signal.

An MO switching apparatus includes a first waveguide supporting a propagation of a radiation signal from a first port to a second port; a second waveguide including a second port; and a ring-oscillator having a closed propagation pathway including magneto-optic materials, said ring-oscillator operationally coupled to said waveguides and responsive to a controlling influence to switch between a first mode and a second mode, with said first mode substantially non-interfering with said propagation of said radiation signal in said first waveguide and with said second mode routing said propagation of said radiation signal from said first port to said second port.

    摘要: A spatial light modulator includes: a magnetic layer that is made of a magneto-optic material and includes a plurality of pixels in each of which a magnetization direction is independently set and each of which has a function of causing a rotation of a polarization direction of incident light depending on the magnetization direction by a magneto-optic effect; a plurality of first conductor layers and a plurality of second conductor layers arranged to intersect with each other at positions corresponding to the individual pixels, through which currents for generating magnetic fields to set the magnetization directions in the individual pixels are passed; and a plurality of dielectric layers for enhancing the function of the pixels. A polarization direction of light incident on the spatial light modulator is rotated depending on the magnetization direction of each pixel.

    摘要: A magnetizable fluid which serves as a display liquid and which includes a suspension of colloidal magnetic particles is used in a display device. The magnetic fluid is opaque to provide optical contrast. A host liquid is substantially immiscible with the display liquid. The display liquid is carried in a reservoir section which is distributed about the periphery of a display field in the reservoir. Each propagation line of the display field is provided with a bubble generator, which passes bubbles by the input end of each line. A bubble switch coil draws selected bubbles across a gap to reach the associated propagation line in response to a signal impressed on the coil. A uniform rotating magnetic field is provided by a permanent magnet beneath the display or by orthogonal magnetic coils.

    摘要: A magneto-optic light deflection system that utilizes the stripe domains in a magnetic film as a diffraction grating. The angle of deflection of the light from the plane of the film is varied in two dimensions by varying the separation and orientation of the stripe domains. The wall separation is varied by varying the intensity of a DC field in the plane of the film parallel to the stripe domains, or by varying the intensity of a DC field normal to the plane of the film. The orientation of the stripe domains is varied by varying the direction of the DC field in the film plane. Hysteresis is overcome by an AC tickle field perpendicular to the stripe domains.

    摘要: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and apparatus for forming low emissivity panels that may include a first substrate. The first substrate may have a first side and a second side. The low emissivity panels may also include a magnetic fluid layer deposited over the first side of the first substrate and a reflective layer deposited over the second side of the first substrate. The magnetic fluid layer may include magnetic particles. The reflective layer may include a conductive material configured to conduct an electrical current and generate a magnetic field. The magnetic field may be configured to change an orientation of the magnetic particles in the magnetic fluid layer and a transmissivity of the magnetic fluid layer within a visible spectrum. The low emissivity panels may also include a first bus and a second bus deposited along opposite edges of the reflective layer and electrically connected to the reflective layer.
