摘要: A symmetric distributed feedback (DFB) laser that is integrated in a silicon based photonic integrated circuit can output light from both sides of the symmetric DFB laser onto waveguides. The light in the waveguides can be phase adjusted and combined using an optical coupler. The symmetric DFB laser can generate light and symmetrically output light onto different lanes of a multi-lane transmitter.

摘要: A receptacle (6) includes an optical fiber stub (7). A lens (5) includes an incident-side curved surface (9), an emission-side curved surface (10), and a barrel (11) provided between the incident-side curved surface (9) and the emission-side curved surface (10). A receptacle holder (8) holds the receptacle (6) so that the lens (5) and the optical fiber stub (7) are not in contact but separated from each other. When light out from the optical fiber stub (7) enters the lens (5) through the incident-side curved surface (9), the light is condensed inside the lens (5) and then spreads again, and the light out from the emission-side curved surface (10) is condensed onto a light-receiving surface of the light-receiving device (2).

摘要: An optical logic gate decision-making circuit that combines non-linear materials, such as silicon nitride, on a silicon-on-insulator (SOI) substrate is described. Circuitry includes a ring cavity coupled to an input optical bus waveguide. The input optical bus waveguide receives an optical signal and passes the optical signal to the ring cavity. An electro-optical device, for instance a PN junction, is integrated within the ring cavity to modulate the optical signal such that an optical logic gate function is enabled. An output optical bus waveguide is also coupled to the ring cavity, which outputs the optical signal modified based on the optical logic gate function and based on a wavelength routing function. By using silicon nitride, the optical non-linearity of the materials enables an “all-optical” logic gate. Thus, the optical logic gate decision-making circuit is suitable for all-optical circuits, and support ultrafast optical signal processing and enabling packet switching of data.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a heat dissipation assembly including: a cage, a TEC assembly, a mounting kit, an elastic carrier, and a heat pipe, where a window is provided in a side face of the cage, the TEC assembly is located on an outer side of the cage, and a cold side of the TEC assembly passes through the window and thermally communicates with the heat emitting device in the cage; the mounting kit is configured to mount the TEC assembly and enable the TEC assembly to move in a direction leaving or approaching the heat emitting device; and a heat absorption portion of the heat pipe is mounted on the elastic carrier, and the heat absorption portion that is of the heat pipe and that is mounted on the elastic carrier thermally communicates with a hot side of the TEC assembly.

摘要: An optical semiconductor device includes a silicon oxide layer configured to be formed on a substrate; an optical waveguide part configured to be formed on the silicon oxide layer; a cladding layer configured to be formed covering the optical waveguide part; and a semiconductor laser configured to be disposed on the substrate. Laser light emitted from the semiconductor laser enters the optical waveguide part. The optical waveguide part increases transmittance of light when the wavelength becomes greater within an oscillation wavelength range of the semiconductor laser.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a high speed optical transceiver module, which makes it possible to prevent a wavelength shift and thus to achieve low power and high efficiency by forming a hole with a predetermined depth in a stem heat sink for dissipating heat generated in an LD through a lower portion of a stem and putting a micro heater in the hole, thereby compensating for the temperature of the LD in order to prevent wavelength shift caused by the influence of the ambient temperature on an LD chip in a transistor outline (TO) when an un-cooled optical transceiver module is driven at low temperature and to prevent the communication from being impossible when the ambient temperature is lowered during the communication using a CWDM scheme.
