    摘要: A detection scraper piston which is moved with the flow of liquid transported by a pipeline is fitted with end cups defining an intermediate compartment within the pipeline bore, with an odometer for measuring the distance of travel and pressuresensing and measuring means. The method of leak detection consists in continuously measuring the displacement of the piston from a predetermined zero point as well as the difference between the pressure within the compartment and an intermediate pressure between those prevailing on the upstream and downstream sides of the piston.

    摘要: The present invention comprises a novel pipeline valve transportable by pipeline fluid adapted for isolating pipeline sections to permit location of a leak, and to stop the flow of pipeline fluid. The invention also concerns a novel process for isolating sections of a pipeline to permit location of a leak. The novel valve contains means for controlling the flow of the pipeline fluid in the valve and for stopping the valve when desired. A drop in pipeline fluid pressure shows a leak in the pipeline section traversed by the valve.

    摘要: The system utilizes conductivity equipment as well as a camera, pressure sensor, and acoustic hydrophone within a probe deployed via cable into a pipe to be inspected. The probe completes an electric circuit back to ground when the probe is adjacent a defect through which electric currents can pass, thus producing varying electric current. The camera, incorporated into the electric probe, is utilized for both inspection and navigation through the pipe by providing a close-circuit video data feed. The pressure sensor detects alterations in the pressure and flow field of the fluidic region in the area of a leak. The acoustic hydrophone listens for the sound leaks in a pressurized pipeline. The inspection device is tethered to a cable and inserted a measured distance into the pipeline, typically with the pipeline under pressure, via a launch tube. Multi-sensor data versus pipeline position is thus obtained.
