    Abstract: Provided is a modular firearm muzzle device having a multi-piece housing assembled from a plurality of substantially tubular, axially assemblable wall members that have a first interior cross-sectional size. A mounting member is mountable to a firearm muzzle. A forward wall has a central passageway that is aligned with the firearm muzzle and has a cross-section size smaller than the first cross-sectional size. The wall members are assembled with the mounting member and forward wall to define an interior chamber through which a projectile passes from the muzzle. The device can be assembled with fewer or more wall members to adjust the length of the interior chamber.

    Abstract: A chronograph system with a frame, at least two sensors, an accelerometer, and a processor module. The frame is configured to removably couple to a barrel of a firearm. The sensors are attached to the frame and are configured to detect a projectile as the projectile passes each sensor. A first of the sensors may be separated from a second of the sensors by at least three inches. The accelerometer is attached to the frame and configured to track an orientation of the barrel. The processor module is communicatively coupled to the sensors and to the accelerometer and may be configured to receive timestamps from the sensors and the orientation of the barrel from the accelerometer, use the timestamps to determine a velocity of each projectile, and analyze the velocity data and the orientation of the barrel to aid a user in adjusting a scope of the firearm.

    Abstract: A firearm includes a muzzle device. The muzzle device includes a muzzle adapter and a muzzle attachment. The muzzle attachment suppresses noise and/or redirects gases and recoil. The firearm utilizes recoil operation to cycle such that the barrel reciprocates inside a handguard of the firearm during cycling. The muzzle adapter is attached to the handguard and receives the barrel therein. The muzzle attachment is secured to the muzzle adapter such that the muzzle of the barrel remains longitudinally in the muzzle adapter during discharge and cycling of the firearm.

    Abstract: An apparatus to be mounted onto a muzzle of a firearm consists of a muzzle device, a clamp, and a fastening mechanism. The muzzle device can be a compensator or a muzzle brake. The clamp and the fastening mechanism is used to hold the muzzle device against the barrel of the firearm. The muzzle device consists of a barrel receiving aperture that traverses through a structural body. When a muzzle of a firearm is positioned within the barrel receiving aperture, the clamp is pressed against the structural body so that the fastening mechanism can be used to secure the muzzle device in place. Since the apparatus does not utilize the threads located on the barrel of the firearm, the overall quality of the threads is preserved.

    Abstract: A muzzle brake device includes a main body having a receiver opening, a discharge opening, a central bore, and a plurality of discharge channels extending outward from the central bore at locations between the receiver opening and the discharge opening. A plurality of raised inlet members are disposed along the central bore and are in communication with the plurality of discharge channels. A separation distance between the channels is complementary to the length of the projectile to which the weapon on which the device is attached, and each of the discharge channels are arranged to emulate the vane of a turbine engine, so as to produce a mechanical force that counteracts the recoil of the weapon to which the device is attached.

    Abstract: A rail system for a firearm is described. In one example, an apparatus includes a barrel nut and a modular rail. The barrel nut is configured to secure a barrel of a firearm and has a non-circular outer surface when taken along an axis that is perpendicular to an axis of the barrel when secured to the firearm. The modular rail has an inner portion having a shape that is complementary to the barrel nut such that the modular rail does not rotate about the axis of the barrel when the inner portion is mated to the outer surface of the barrel nut. The outer surface of the barrel nut may also comprise a cavity and the modular rail may further comprise a rotatable assembly configured to engage the cavity of the barrel nut such that the modular rail does not move along the axis of the barrel.

The blast shield may include an alignment protrusion, a latch assembly, a plurality of internal ribs, and one or more gas ports.
