    摘要: There is provided in one embodiment a target locator and interceptor imaging and sensing assembly. The assembly has a disc shaped aerodynamic member configured to spin and self-position in flight, a plurality of pulsed thrusters positioned on the member, and a plurality of imaging and sensing devices positioned along a perimeter of the member. The assembly further has one or more munitions devices coupled to one or more detonators, both being coupled to the aerodynamic member. The assembly further has one or more antenna devices positioned on the member and in communication with a first processor device on the member. The first processor device receives data obtained by the plurality of imaging and sensing devices and wirelessly transmits the data to a second processor device not positioned on the member. The assembly further has a power supply powering the assembly.

    摘要: An improved two-stage light gas gun for launching projectiles at high speeds. The gun consists of three tubes: the expansion, pump, and launch tubes. The expansion tube contains a close-fitting expansion piston that is propelled by an explosive charge. The expansion piston in turn drives the pump piston housed within the pump tube by means of a rod connecting the two pistons. The action of the pump piston adiabatically compresses and heats a light gas of hydrogen or helium, bursting a diaphragm at a predetermined pressure and expelling the projectile from the launch tube at a very high speed.

    摘要: A rocket includes a front warhead, a rear propellant actuator, and a propulsion enhancement arrangement which comprises at least two propulsion impulse generators longitudinally cascadedly mounted between the warhead and the rear propellant actuator, wherein each propulsion impulse generator comprises a storage barrel for storing a predetermined amount of explosive materials to provide propelling impulse upon controlled explosion thereof, and a time-internal control arrangement comprising a time-interval control device mounted on a bottom of the front warhead, a time-interval trigger wire operatively connected with the time-interval control device, and at least two time-interval triggers mounted along the time-interval trigger wire and inside of each of the storage chambers respectively, wherein the time-interval triggers trigger the explosion of the explosive material stored in the storage chamber from the bottom propelling impulse generator to the top propelling impulse generator one by one at a predetermined time intervals, so as to further propels the front warhead to the predetermined position at a predetermined velocity and after each explosion.

    摘要: The invention is a multi-shot launcher adapted to launch ring airfoil projectiles. Each ring airfoil projectile is coupled to a sabot, the ring airfoil projectile and sabot mounted to a housing in a cartridge form. The cartridge has a length which is less than its diameter. The launcher includes a receiver defining a cartridge receiving area and a tubular passage through which the ring airfoil is launched from a fired cartridge. The launcher includes a trigger mechanism for firing a cartridge. The launcher includes an ejector for ejecting the housing of a spent cartridge from the receiving area and a loader for loading a new cartridge into the receiving area. The cartridge may be loaded from a magazine connected to the receiver.

A first frangible diaphragm having a predetermined breaking pressure interconnecting the two chambers. A barrel mounted adjacent to and extending from the second frangible diaphragm. A projectile located within the barrel. A main charge substantially located within the high pressure chamber and an ignition charge coupled to the main charge for igniting the main charge upon activation of the ignition charge. The ignition of the main charge providing for the production of rapid burning forming gas having an increasing pressure within the high pressure chamber. When the pressure reaches the predetermined breaking pressure for the first flangible diaphragm, the first diaphragm bursts to allow the high pressure gas to escape by rapidly expanding into the low pressure chamber. When the pressure in the low pressure chamber raeches the predetermined breaking pressure for the second flangible diaphragm, the second diaphragm bursts to allow the low pressure gas to escape into the barrel to propel the projectile located within the barrel.

    摘要: A projectile deployment system includes an entangling projectile that includes a pair of pellets and a tether connecting the pellets. A projectile casing includes a pair of sockets, each socket sized to carry one of the pair of pellets, each of the sockets including a longitudinal axis, the pair of sockets being positioned relative to one another such that the longitudinal sockets diverge horizontally away from one another while at least a portion of one of the sockets is arranged vertically higher than another of the sockets. A selectively activatable pressure source is capable of expelling the entangling projectile from the projectile casing toward a subject. A launcher carries an activator operable to activate the pressure source to expel the entangling projectile from the projectile casing toward the subject.
