    摘要： A roller tunnel kiln for firing a drying refractory material advanced along the refractory rotatable rollers includes an upper section comprising a prefiring zone, a firing zone, a first forced cooling zone, a natural cooling zone and a second forced cooling zone. Parallel to the upper section along the length thereof a drying zone is arranged provided with refractory rotatable rollers for advancing movement of the material to be dried. A distributional tunnel is mounted parallel to the drying zone and is connected with the prekiln zone or with the forced cooling zone so that hot gases mixed with cool ambient air are directed into the distributing tunnel provided with openings communicating the latter with the drying zone. The hot gases at drying temperatures are further directed into drying tunnel in the direction opposite to that of the material to be dried.

The sections downstream of the housing are interconnected with the section upstream of the housing so as to recover the heated gas from the downstream sections and supply the same into the upstream section in predetermined quantities and at a predetermined temperature.

The roll system includes a plurality of fluid cooled rolls rotatably mounted in the furnace configured to contact and at least partially support a charge transported along a pass line through the furnace. An upper surface of each of the fluid cooled rolls is positioned along the pass line. A plurality of dry rolls is rotatably positioned within the furnace wherein at least one dry roll is positioned between each pair of adjacent fluid rolls. The upper surface of each of the dry rolls is positioned below the pass line.

    摘要： A process is described according to which tiles are taken up from the oven in which they have been fired, are accelerated to space them from one another, and then are further accelerated and brought into alignment in a direction transverse to that of travel, and are finally discharged onto a terminal conveyor. The apparatus for carrying out the process comprises, in combination with each firing oven chamber and with a terminal conveyor, a first conveyor for taking up the tiles from the oven, a second conveyor for accelerating them, a third conveyor for ejecting the tiles onto the terminal conveyor, and means for aligning the tiles with respect to the direction of travel of this latter before they leave the ejecting conveyor. The speeds on the accelerating conveyor and on the ejecting conveyor for high speed ovens, are respectively 1.8 to 2.2 times and three to five times the linear speed of the tiles in the oven.
