    摘要: An oven is disclosed as having a plurality of chambers which are sealed from the ambient atmosphere, and to which gas, heated to a high temperature outside the chambers, is circulated to each of the chambers for admixture with gas which is cool compared to the high temperature gas, to produce in the chambers a mixture of hot and cool gas at a predetermined temperature. The hot gas is circulated to the chambers at a certain desired pressure, wherein the cool gas is circulated to the chambers at a certain rate of flow. Gas is exhausted from the oven also at a fixed rate of flow. The gas pressure in the first oven to be encountered by an element passing through the oven, is monitored and triggers a change in the flow of cool gas when the pressure varies from a desired norm. This change in flow of cool gas influences the temperature which is also monitored. A change in the temperature produces a corresponding change in the mixture of hot and cool gas to return the oven temperature to the desired level.

    摘要: A strip flotation furnace for controlling the temperature of a metal strip has a flotation nozzle bar extending through the furnace transversely to a strip running direction of the strip. The flotation nozzle bar has two opposing first flotation nozzle rows spaced apart by a central region of the flotation nozzle bar. The rows are set up so that corresponding flotation nozzle jets, with a directional component toward the central region, can be generated to provide pressure cushioning for metal strip guiding. A temperature-control nozzle bar extends transversely to and is spaced apart from the flotation nozzle bar along the strip running direction. The temperature-control nozzle bar has two additional opposing temperature-control nozzle rows spaced apart by an additional temperature-control nozzle bar central region. These rows are set up so that corresponding temperature-control nozzle jets, with a directional component opposite to the additional central region, can be generated.

    摘要: A device for heat treating metallic webs in-line, in particular for operation with a low-density protective gas, comprises stabilising nozzle systems which stabilise the course of the web and effect heat transfer, primarily by forced convection, in the heating portion and at least in the first portion of cooling. The web is guided in a non-contact process in the treatment portion localised by rollers. The course of the web exhibits a concave curvature (as viewed from above), at least in a partial area in the treatment portion. The area of said concave curvature can be in a fluid which is different from the fluid with which the web is blown in the heating portion and at least in the first portion of the cooling area.
