Abstract:
A drying plant (1) for granular polymer material based on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) comprises a hopper (2), which the granular polymer material is dried and a supply and recirculation circuit (10) for a process gas which is provided to dry the granular polymer material and comprising a catalysing group (25) which is configured to promote a decomposition reaction of contaminating substances which are present in the process gas and which are released from the granular polymer material in the hopper.
Abstract:
A mobile steel grit dryer used to dry steel grit may be configured with a number of different functions and features to assist a contractor in performing steel or other structure maintenance when using steel grit in resurfacing the structure. The steel grit dryer may be configured with a heat process vacuum bypass so that an off-board vacuum, such as a vacuum on a grit recycling system, may be utilized as opposed to having an onboard vacuum. The dryer may include multiple modes so that an operator may use different modes for different environmental conditions. An exoframe may provide for better durability when being transported to different jobsites. A variety of automation and safety features may also be provided to simplify and improve safety for operators.
Abstract:
A device for drying granules, such as those made from a plastic material. The device can have a spiral arrangement of one or more rotor blades on a rotor to propel process fluid through a sieve and separate the process fluid from granules by having sieve openings of a size smaller than the granules. The device can also have a fan wheel and a hollow rotor shaft to create an air flow and improve separation and drying of granules. The device enables reliable automated drying of granules using less energy than prior art devices.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus for drying granular resin material by drawing vacuum over heating resin material in a vessel, while periodically purging the vessel with the material therein with dry air and bathing the vacuum dried material with dry air until furnished to a processing machine.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for continuously bagging pellets formed from a tacky and/or polymer containing formulation include improved drying systems and techniques. The methods and systems may include directing a flow of air to help contain moisture within a dryer, transport pellets out of the dryer, and/or dry pellets as they move away from the dryer. The methods and systems may include conditioning (e.g., drying, coating, classifying) the pellets using a conditioning unit prior to bagging the pellets.
Abstract:
The invention provides methods to efficiently reduce the water concentration of raw solid fuels, including low rank coals such as brown coal, lignite, subbituminous coal, and other carbonaceous solids. Efficiently drying these materials at low temperatures significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions and allows the production of low-rank coals for gasification and liquifaction.

Abstract:
A drying installation for granular polymer material includes a hopper, in which the granular polymer material is dried, and a supply circuit for a process gas which is provided to dry the granular polymer material. The drying installation also includes a turbofan which is able to rotate an impeller of the turbofan at a speed of at least 7000 rpm and which is provided to move the process gas along the supply circuit towards the hopper.
Abstract:
A device for producing dyed plastic granulate and undyed plastic granulate includes a multi-shaft screw extruder and an underwater pelletizing installation. A granulate changeover unit which separates the dyed plastic granulate from the undyed plastic granulate is disposed in a conveying direction downstream of the underwater pelletizing installation. The dyed plastic granulate is separated from the pelletizing water via a first separator installation, and the undyed plastic granulate is separated from the pelletizing water via a second separator installation. The separator installations are disposed so as to be mutually parallel. The device enables a simple, flexible and economical selective production of the dyed plastic granulate and the undyed plastic granulate.
