Abstract: An air drying system includes a regeneration special dryer and at least one air dryer unit. The air dryer unit contains a pair of first and second air dryer dehumidification tanks in which a dehumidification process and a regeneration process are alternately performed; a main compressor to supply compressed wet air to an inlet line; a first direction switching valve unit configured to transfer the compressed wet air from the inlet line to first dehumidification tank performing dehumidification; a second direction switching valve unit configured to transfer the compressed dry air from the first dehumidification tank or transfer regeneration special dry air from a regeneration special dryer to second dehumidification tank performing the regeneration; a heating unit configured to heat the regeneration special dry air supplied from the regeneration special dryer; and a cooler configured to detach moisture from dehumidifying agent filled in the second dehumidification tank.

Abstract: The disclosure provides an example food dehydrator apparatus for treating food waste and methods for use thereof. The apparatus includes: (a) a receptacle having a bottom support, a top support, and a cylindrical sidewall extending therebetween, where the receptacle has an interior cavity, where the top support has a first opening configured to receive the food waste, and where the bottom support has a first opening to release dehydrated food waste, (b) a load door, (c) a shaft rotatably arranged within the receptacle, (d) a gear motor coupled to the shaft, (e) a first plurality of paddles, (f) a second plurality of paddles, where the first and second plurality of paddles are static, (g) a third plurality of paddles, (h) a fourth plurality of paddles, (i) at least one heat source, and (j) a gate coupled to the bottom support of the receptacle.

Abstract: A drying apparatus is disclosed. The drying apparatus comprises: a drum; a compressor for compressing a refrigerant; a first temperature sensor provided at an air discharge port of the drum; a second temperature sensor provided at a refrigerant discharge port of the compressor; and a processor which, when a drying cycle for an object to be dried begins, compares a first temperature sensed by the first temperature sensor with a predetermined threshold temperature so as to obtain an operation frequency of the compressor, and when a second temperature sensed by the second temperature sensor reaches a predetermined first target temperature, adjusts the operation frequency of the compressor on the basis of a third temperature calculated on the basis of the first temperature and the second temperature.

Abstract: A dryer appliance and a method of operating the same are provided. In one aspect, the dryer appliance includes a drum rotatably mounted within a cabinet. The drum defines a chamber that is in fluid communication with a conditioning system of the dryer appliance. The conditioning system heats air circulating therethrough and removes water from the process air. A collection tank collects the water and a drain pump removes water from the collection tank intermittently when the water reaches a predetermined level. The frequency at which the drain pump removes water from the collection tank is utilized to determine the moisture extraction rate indicative of the rate at which moisture is removed from the clothes. The moisture extraction rate is utilized to control the mass flow rate of refrigerant in a heat pump sealed system or the process air flow rate through the closed loop air circuit.

Abstract: A system and method for staged drying of temperature sensitive materials, the method comprising the following steps. Heated air is blown into a duct and solids are introduced into the duct at an elevated position along a vertical portion of the duct. The heated air and solids mixture is then transported along the duct for a desired retention time with adequate initial flash heating of the solids and then a gradual cool down of the solids. The solids are at an elevated temperature beyond the ambient dewpoint with evaporative cooling taking place. The solids and air mixture is then transported in the duct to a cyclone, where the solids are removed from the air. The air is exhausted out of the cyclone by an exhaust duct, and the solids are collected from the cyclone in a container.

Abstract: A system and method for post-processing of polymeric items having a liquid component and a predetermined heat deflection temperature is provided. The system includes a washing station to spray water at elevated temperature and pressure on the items while maintaining the temperature of the item below the heat deflection temperature. Then using a water distillation system to separate the water from the water mixed with the liquid polymer component by evaporating the water using heating coils with surface that is not conducive to adhesion of the liquid polymer component and then condense the water vapor into liquid water. The system may further include a spin station to separate the liquid polymer component by spinning the item. The system may further include one or more processing stations to rinse the item, dry the item, cure the item, remove the item from a tray to which the item may be attached and clean trays after removing the item. A conveyor system may be used to automate the post-processing of the items.
