Abstract: A laundry appliance includes a cabinet having a laundry compartment located inside said cabinet, an exhaust vent extending from the laundry compartment, an exhaust temperature sensor disposed in the exhaust vent generating an exhaust temperature signal, an exhaust humidity sensor disposed in the exhaust vent generating an exhaust humidity signal and an ambient humidity sensor generating an ambient humidity signal. The appliance further includes a display and a controller coupled to the exhaust temperature sensor, the exhaust humidity sensor and the ambient humidity sensor. The controller determines an estimated time remaining for a drying cycle based on the exhaust temperature signal, the exhaust humidity signal and the ambient humidity signal and causes the display to display the estimated time remaining.

Abstract: A clothes dryer includes a drum with a first flow path and a flow guiding component with a second flow path. These paths are fluidly connected. Positioned between the drum and component is a switching valve. This valve comprises an air-exchange chamber with a first and second chamber. The first chamber has a first inlet linked to the second flow path and a first outlet linked to the environment. The second chamber has an inlet connected to the environment and an outlet connected to the first flow path. A through hole exists between both chambers. The sealing assembly includes a driving member and two sealing members. The driver rotates the first sealing member, which can selectively cover the first outlet and through hole, while the second member can cover the second outlet.

Abstract: Disclosed is a clothing management apparatus. Disclosed clothing management apparatus comprises: memory; a steam generation apparatus for generating steam; a steam discharge member for spraying clothing with the steam generated by the steam generation apparatus; a temperature sensor for sensing the temperature inside the clothing management apparatus; and a processor which, when a clothing management start command is entered, stores the temperature sensed by the temperature sensor in memory, and controls the steam generation apparatus to carry out the action corresponding to the sensed temperature and clothing management start command, wherein, if an additional clothing management command is entered within a previously set time following an execution of an action corresponding to the clothing management start command, then the processor controls the steam generation apparatus to carry out the action corresponding to the temperature data stored in memory and additional clothing management command.

Abstract: A heat pump appliance may include a cabinet, a sealed thermodynamic assembly, a blower fan, a temperature sensor, and a controller. The sealed thermodynamic assembly may include a fluid compressor, an evaporator, and a condenser disposed along the air path. The temperature sensor may be mounted to the evaporator to detect temperature at the evaporator. The controller may be configured to direct a drying operation. The drying operation may include activating the fluid compressor to motivate a refrigerant through the sealed thermodynamic assembly, activating the blower fan to motivate the airflow across the condenser, directing the fluid compressor to an inactive state following activating the blower fan, detecting an evaporator temperature at the temperature sensor while the fluid compressor is in the inactive state following activating the blower fan, and adjusting activation of the blower fan based on the detected evaporator temperature.
