    摘要: A steam drier including a rotatable elongated drum (1) and a set of heating elements (2) provided in the interior space within the drum and supported on the drum in order to rotate along with it. Each heating element (2) includes a pair of straight first longitudinal pipes (3, 4) supported in parallel to each other at a distance (A) from each other. The first longitudinal pipes extend in the longitudinal direction of the drum. A pair of end pipes (5, 6) extends substantially transversely relative to the first longitudinal pipes in the vicinity of the ends of the first longitudinal pipes. The end pipes connect the first longitudinal pipes rigidly to each other. The first longitudinal pipes are provided in flow connection to each other through the end pipes in order to allow the flow of steam within the heating element. The heating element (2) includes a set of straight second longitudinal pipes (7) provided in parallel to the first longitudinal pipes (3, 4). The second longitudinal pipes are fastened by each end to the end pipes (5, 6) so that each two adjacent second longitudinal pipes are disposed at a distance (B) from each other. The second longitudinal pipes (7) are provided in flow connection with the end pipes (5, 6).

    摘要: A drying apparatus comprises a cylindrical rotatable drum (1), the inside of which is provided with a steam pipe system consisting of heat transfer elements (7), to be rotated with the drum. The heat transfer elements (7) are detachable from and mountable on the drum (1). Material to be dried is fed to a first end of the drying apparatus, the material being arranged to be discharged through a second end of the drying apparatus. The heat transfer element (7) is formed as a uniform packet of several longitudinal pipes (8) and connecting pipes (9) between them in such a way that the structure of the heat transfer element is formed self-supporting and that this self-supporting packet is attached to the drum (1) frame with fastening that allows heat expansion.

The zones (86-92) include individual flighting assemblies (164, 214, 226, 234) which are of increasing density and present progressively increasing heat transfer ratios. Preferably, one of the initial zones has a heat transfer ratio of from about 1.5-2.5 ftnull1, whereas another of the zones closer to the final stage has a heat transfer of from about 2.75-3.75 ftnull1.

    摘要: An asphalt based material recycling system and method is used to recycle asphalt materials, such as asphalt shingles and tar paper that include granules, fibers or other particles. The asphalt material is simultaneously heated and milled in a heated milling apparatus, such as a heated ball mill, to reduce the asphalt material including granules to a fine mesh in suspension in liquid asphalt. Excess moisture is removed from the asphalt material being recycled by continuously venting the heated milling apparatus. The heated milling apparatus preferably includes a rotatable milling vessel rotated at an acute angle with respect to the horizontal plane and having an opening that provides continuous venting. The shape of the milling vessel allows the liquid level inside the milling vessel to have a liquid head above the outlet region of the milling vessel, for facilitating milling. The rotatable milling vessel includes a plurality of mixing members, such as rods or paddles, extending from an interior surface to enhance milling and to pull the asphalt material being recycled under and into the liquid slurry. The asphalt material recycling system further includes a filter apparatus for filtering reduced asphalt and removing foreign objects therefrom.

    摘要: Disclosed is an apparatus for drying particulate material. The apparatus comprises a rotatable drum positioned in an oven. Conduit means positioned in the drum offset from its axis of rotation form flow paths isolated from the inside of the drum leaving from a first portion of the oven to a second portion of the oven. In further aspect, lifting vanes are attached to the inside of the drum and extend generally longitudinally along the interior surface of the drum protruding generally radially inwardly. Catching vanes can be attached to the conduit means to extend generally longitudinally therealong protruding generally radially from the conduit means in a direction generally normal to a radius of the drum.
