摘要: The present invention relates to a smoke tube boiler including: a mix chamber which includes a mixing space in which combustion gas and air are mixed, a mix chamber body having a flat shape, and a flat plate-shaped burner disposed in a horizontal direction above a combustion chamber; and a heat exchanger which includes an outer shell forming an outer wall of a water tank into and from which a heat medium is introduced and discharged and which accommodates the heat medium, a plurality of tubes formed in a flat shape that are configured to allow combustion gas generated in the combustion chamber to flow therein and cause a heat exchange to occur between the combustion gas and the heat medium flowing outside the tubes, turbulators coupled to an inner side of the tube and configured to induce occurrence of a turbulent flow in the flow of the combustion gas, and multi-stage barriers disposed between the outer shell and the tube and configured to induce a heat medium flow direction to be alternately changed between a radially inward direction and a radially outward direction.

摘要: An exhaust conduit for neutralizing condensate from high efficiency gas storage water heaters is provided. The exhaust conduit includes an inlet configured to be coupled to an exhaust outlet of the heater, an outlet configured to be coupled to an exhaust vent, and a condensate chamber having an interior in fluidic communication with the inlet and the outlet. The condensate chamber has a lower portion configured to receive a neutralizer and an upper portion having a service port configured to provide access to the lower portion of the condensate chamber. The condensate chamber further includes a fluid outlet for draining the neutralized condensate via a drain line. The exhaust conduit has one or more ridges disposed in the chamber that are arranged to define a channel for directing condensate from the inlet across the neutralizer toward the fluid outlet.

摘要: Aspects of the invention are directed to condensate traps having a back portion and a front portion. The back portion includes a first passage enclosed between the first wall, a second wall, and a back wall. A first opening in the back portion connects the first wall and the second wall with a first float placed over the first opening and does not travel below the first opening and is prevented from leaving the first passage by a first constriction. The front portion of the condensate trap includes a second passage enclosed between the third wall and the fourth wall. A second opening connects the third wall and the fourth wall in the front portion and a second float is placed below the second opening such that it does not travel through the second opening and is prevented from falling below a predetermined level by a second constriction.

In one embodiment, the heat exchanger management system includes a memory and an electronic processor electrically connected to the memory and configured to operate one or more burners to transmit heat to a heat exchanger for a first period of time that deposits corrosive condensates on a passivation layer of the heat exchanger, deactivate the one or more burners for a second period of time, operate one or more blowers to move air across the heat exchanger at a temperature that evaporates the corrosive condensates on the passivation layer of the heat exchanger and increases an oxide thickness of the passivation layer on the heat exchanger, and reactivate the one or more burners after the second period of time.

Thus, a heat exchanger and a water heater capable of sufficiently conducting an amount of heat of a combustion gas to a heat conduction pipe even in a blind spot of a flow of the combustion gas of the heat conduction pipe and suppressing noise can be realized.

摘要: A high efficiency downfired gas water heater is provided which has a tank for storing water to be heated, a combustion chamber extending downwardly through a top end of the tank, and a gas burner operative to create hot combustion products within the combustion chamber. At the bottom end of the tank is a transfer chamber coupled to an external discharge conduit and to a single pass heat exchanger, in the form of multiple flue tubes. extending vertically through the tank and connected to the combustion chamber. In one embodiment of the water heater the burner is a power burner which forces the combustion products sequentially through the combustion chamber, heat exchanger, transfer chamber and discharge conduit. In another embodiment of the water heater a draft inducer fan is used to draw the combustion products through this path from the combustion chamber.
