    摘要: A hydraulic adapter unit includes a hose connecting member and a pipe member. The hose connecting member is a substantially cylindrical hose connecting member, and includes: a hose fixing portion positioned at one end side of the hose connecting member and to which the hose is fixed; a first combining portion positioned at the other end side of the hose connecting member; and an intermediate portion linking the hose fixing portion and the first combining portion. The pipe member includes: a substantially tubular pipe body; a second combining portion disposed at the one end side of the pipe body and separably combined to the first combining portion of the hose connecting member; and a flange portion disposed at the other end side of the pipe body and formed so as to project outward in the radial direction of the pipe body and fixed to a hydraulic device.

    摘要: An improved low-pressure, water-heating solar panel provides easier and safer initial installation because it is more resistant to damage by workmen during that installation. Further, after installation, the solar panel is more resistant to damage by high winds because it has a low profile and does not present a gap or space into which high winds can intrude to lift, cause flapping of, and damage to the solar panel. Also, during freezing weather the improved solar panel is not damaged by freezing of retained water due to its novel internal construction which allows substantially all water to completely drain from the solar panel and prevents any puddling of retained water. Methods of manufacturing the improved solar panel are disclosed.

    摘要: The present invention describes a tubular scoop that may be utilized with various assemblies for sampling fluid in a pipeline. The scoop includes a bend with a bend radius that is from two to four times the diameter of the scoop. The scoop defines a scoop face that is parallel to an axis of the tubular of the scoop. The scoop is mounted with a threaded connection that seals around the tubular. An additional seal comprises a compression nut that allows orientation of the scoop within the pipeline whereupon the scoop orientation is fixed by tightening the compression nut.

    摘要: Internal collars and external saddle taps can be used to install taps on a main duct in a manner that maintains duct section joint integrity. A saddle tap assembly may include an external slip tap, internal tap collar, a duct section, and adhesive. The external slip tap and the internal tap collar may each have a flange. The flanges may be curved. The flange of the internal collar may have a sheared portion permitting the flange of the internal collar to pass through an opening in a section of duct. The duct may have an opening with one or more notches. A method of installation can be more efficient and more cost-effective than prior solutions. An installation tool can be used for installing saddle tap assemblies while an adhesive cures.

    摘要: A latch mechanism (10) comprises a male coupling member (12), and a female coupling member (14). The latch mechanism (10) is coupled/de-coupled by inserting/withdrawing male coupling member from female coupling member, by movement in a first direction A-A. A latch (20), here comprising a plate (44) and two prongs (42), is slidably mounted on the male coupling member (12), for movement in a second direction B-B. A compression spring (21) biases the latch (20) so that the prongs (42) are exposed at the distal end of the male coupling member (12). Catch channels shown here as two holes (22) that extend in the second direction B-B for receiving the prongs (42) are formed in the female coupling member. In use, the latch mechanism (10) is coupled by relative movement in the first direction between the male and female coupling members. When the probe is fully inserted, the prongs of the latch are aligned with the holes (22). Consequently, due to the bias of the spring (21), the prongs (42) enter the holes (22). Because the second direction is inclined to the first direction, when in the mated position, de-coupling of the latch mechanism by relative movement in the first direction A-A is prevented by engagement between the prongs (42) and the holes (22).

    摘要: A compact assembly for aligning a coring tool relative to a pipe sidewall. The coring tool includes a hollow, cylindrical hole saw mounted to an arbor that has an elongated pilot shaft centered in the hole saw. The assembly is made up of a base plate that is attachable to the pipe sidewall. In one embodiment, a tubular sleeve is mounted to the base plate and has a bore diameter sized for receiving the pilot shaft as the hole saw is advanced toward and saws through the pipe wall, and the entire assembly is sized to fit inside the hole saw as the hole saw saws through the pipe sidewall. In another embodiment, the base plate is configured for use with pipe sidewalls that include outwardly protruding ribs.

    摘要: A coupling assembly for releasably interconnecting fluid passages comprises male and female coupling members, which are mated by inserting a probe and socket of the members respectively. Each coupling member has a first end arranged for connection to a fluid passage. When mated in use, the coupling assembly provides a straight fluid conduit between the fluid passages comprising through-bores in each of the coupling members coincident along a first longitudinal axis. When mated in use, the probe and socket are arranged coincident on a second longitudinal axis, which is inclined to the first axis. Sealing means comprising an annular sealing ring proximate each of the socket and probe are arranged, when mated in use, either side of an intersection between the through-bore and socket. The sealing arrangement is such that fluid within the fluid conduit exerts a net force resisting separation of said coupling members.

    摘要: A coupling assembly including a protruding annular nose portion having a longitudinal axis and a bore extending coaxially therethrough extending from a first component. The nose portion includes a frustoconical outer surface tapering radially inwardly toward the distal end thereof where the frustoconical outer surface meets the wall of the first component bore. A second component comprises a body carrying an annular skirt extending coaxially about a longitudinal axis and defining an entry bore, the annular skirt being separated from a surrounding, annular coupling bore wall of the second component by an annular recess therebetween. At the bottom of the annular recess may, optionally, be disposed a skirt compression adjustment ferrule, which may be integral with the body or formed as a separate component. A method of coupling component bores end-to-end is also disclosed.
