In a crevice passage disposed between the combustion chamber and the crankcase, a multistage throttling is disposed for converting pressure energy of the high-pressure blow-by gas into kinetic energy and momentum, and a multistage expansion is disposed for expanding and dissipating the incoming kinetic energy and momentum of the high-velocity blow-by gas into heat, so that to realize the multistage throttling and expansion method, reduce the leaking of the unburned fuel-air mixture and the burned gas, the hydrocarbon emissions hidden in the intra-cylinder carbon deposition and exhaust gas emissions of the engine, and also improve the engine efficiency and the overall performance of the engine.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a two-cycle engine and an engine work machine. When a piston is located on the side of a bottom dead center, at a part corresponding to a notch part in the piston, an inner surface of the crank case protrudes toward an interior side to form a crank case first protruding part penetrating through the notch part toward the interior side. Meanwhile, the crank case at a part corresponding to a part without the notch part in the piston is not in a shape protruding toward the interior side. By assembling the piston and the crank case in such shapes, the piston is able to reciprocally move up and down without interfering with the crank case. In this case, by disposing the crank case first protruding part, the volume in the crank case is able to be reduced.

Abstract: A piston is the driven component within a pump. The piston is driven along a longitudinal axis to pump a fluid through the pump. The fluid flows through the piston between an upstream end of the pump and a downstream end of the pump. The piston outputs the fluid into the downstream end of the pump at a vector offset from the longitudinal axis, thereby inducing rotation of the piston throughout the pumping process. Rotating the piston encourages even wear on various components within the pump, such as sealing rings surrounding the piston, thereby increasing the lifespan of the components and increasing the efficiency of the pump.

Abstract: A piston rod and piston head are the driven components within a pump. An upstream end of the piston rod is attached within an aperture of the piston head. At least one flute extends between the upstream end of the piston rod and the aperture, and the at least one flute is configured to provide a flowpath for a fluid, such as paint, to flow downstream of the piston head and piston rod. The flutes facilitate a smooth downstream flow of the fluid, thereby reducing hydraulic resistance and reducing wear caused by the fluid.

Abstract: A power cylinder system for a reciprocating engine includes a piston configured to move within a cylinder. The system includes a top-most groove extending circumferentially about the piston beneath a top land of the piston and configured to support a top ring having an inner circumferential face. A space is defined between a portion of the top-most groove and the inner circumferential face of the top ring while the top ring is positioned within top-most groove, and one or more channels formed in the top land are configured to enable transfer of combustion gases to the space. The system also includes a bottom-most groove extending circumferentially about the piston and spaced apart from the top-most groove along an axial axis of the piston, and the bottom groove is configured to support a bottom ring and is devoid of oil drains.
