摘要: An internal combustion engine for gaseous fuel includes a cylinder and a piston for reciprocal movement in the cylinder along a reciprocal axis, whereby a combustion chamber is at least partially delimited by the cylinder and the piston. The piston includes a piston crown facing the combustion chamber, a piston crown projection of the piston crown in a direction parallel to the reciprocal axis and onto a piston crown plane extending transversally to the reciprocal axis having a piston crown center point, the piston crown comprising a piston bowl surface defining a piston bowl and a piston rim portion enclosing the piston bowl surface. A piston bowl opening is the intersection between the piston rim portion and the piston bowl surface. The piston bowl opening has an opening center of gravity in the piston crown plane. The opening center of gravity is offset from the piston crown center point.

摘要: The present invention allows the air-fuel mixture to swirl in a combustion chamber to increase the power from the engine. Each engine cylinder contains a piston, a combustion chamber, and at least one intake valve, exhaust valve, and spark-plug. Also, the top of the piston head contains a hole that forms the entry point of a converging nozzle, where the air-fuel mixture is first directed downwards and then horizontally through intake nozzles onto ramps located on the inner walls of the combustion chamber that allows the air-fuel mixture to swirl in a counter-clock wise motion. This swirling effect causes a cyclone inside the combustion chamber that when ignited it results in an additional explosive force that drives the piston downwards with additional acceleration, which increase the power produced by the engine.

A fuel injector (6) is configured to direct a fuel spray towards a target area (21) on an annular wall section (22) of the piston bowl so as to make a flame (20) formed by ignition of the fuel spray hit the target area. The target area borders, via a flow separation edge (23), on a lowered flow separation area (24) on the annular wall section so as to give this annular wall section a stepped configuration. The flow separation edge and flow separation area are configured to induce the formation of a vortex-filled wake between the flame and the flow separation area on the downstream side of the flow separation edge when the flame flows from the target area, across the flow separation edge and over the flow separation area.

A rim portion of the cavity includes a guide portion, raised in the cylinder axis direction with respect to an inner region of the rim portion, interposing the ignition portion when the piston is at a compression top dead center, and configured to guide an air-fuel mixture within the combustion chamber to the ignition portion.

摘要: A diesel engine comprises: a cylinder head covering one end of a cylinder; a piston having a crown surface opposed to the cylinder head, and performing a reciprocating movement within the cylinder; and a fuel injector attached to the cylinder head. The cylinder head is formed with an intake port so as to generate a swirl flow within the cylinder. The crown surface of the piston is formed with a cavity which is recessed toward an opposite side of the cylinder head and which has a circular shape in planar view, and a notch which is recessed radially outward from a peripheral edge of the cavity. The fuel injector is formed with an injection hole oriented toward an inside of the cavity.

摘要: A cooling channel cover for a piston of an internal combustion engine may include a body having mutually opposite end faces. At least one supply element for a coolant may be received in an opening disposed in the cooling channel cover. The supply element may include an inlet region and an outlet region, and may be held on the cooling channel cover via a clipped-in latching connection. A spring tab may be disposed on the inlet region of the supply element, and/or a latching element may be disposed on the outlet region of the supply element. The spring clip may engage one of the end faces and the latching element may engage the opposite end face.
