摘要: A piston of an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The piston includes a piston head with a piston bowl, a ring part and an annular cooling channel arranged between the ring part and the piston bowl. A closure element is provided to close the cooling channel in a direction away from the piston bowl. At least one guiding element is arranged in the cooling channel. The at least one guiding element provides a lug facing in a direction of an inner cooling channel wall and disposed at least partially circumferentially. The lug of the at least one guiding element is structured and arranged to direct cooling oil present in the cooling channel towards an upper region of the inner cooling channel wall relative to the closure element to facilitate cooling the upper region.

摘要: A piston for an internal combustion engine may include at least one oil ring groove configured to receive an oil scraper ring. The at least one oil ring groove may have an upper groove flank, a lower groove flank, and a groove base. The at least one oil ring groove may be structured to be asymmetrical and deeper in a radial direction in a region of the lower groove flank. The piston may also include an oil outflow channel structured and arranged to fluidically communicate with an oil collecting chamber disposed in a spine of the oil scraper ring. A connecting point between at least one of (i) the at least one oil ring groove and the oil outflow channel, and (ii) the oil collecting chamber and the oil outflow channel may be disposed exclusively in the lower groove flank.

摘要: A method for producing a piston for an internal combustion engine may include the steps of: producing a first blank corresponding to a piston main body via a deformation process; producing a second blank corresponding to a piston ring part via at least one of a deformation process and a casting process; pre-machining the first blank and the second blank, and finishing a welding surface of the first blank and a welding surface of the second blank via machining; connecting the first blank and the second blank via welding the welding surface of the first blank to the welding surface of the second blank to form a piston body; and performing at least one of a secondary machining process and a finish machining process on the piston body to produce the piston.

摘要: An assembly for cooling oil for an internal combustion engine may include a piston having a piston head and a piston skirt. The piston head may include a piston crown with an undersurface having an outer region configured as a guiding surface for the cooling oil, a circumferential ring part, and, in a region of the circumferential ring part, a circumferential cooling channel with at least one feed opening for the cooling oil. The assembly may also include a first oil spray nozzle for creating a first cooling oil jet directed at the feed opening, and a second oil spray nozzle for creating a second cooling oil jet directed at the guiding surface such that the second cooling oil jet may deflect and flow along the guiding surface in a direction of the undersurface. At least the first oil spray nozzle may be positioned below the piston skirt.

At least one supply element for a coolant may be received in an opening disposed in the cooling channel cover. The supply element may include an inlet region and an outlet region, and may be held on the cooling channel cover via a clipped-in latching connection. A spring tab may be disposed on the inlet region of the supply element, and/or a latching element may be disposed on the outlet region of the supply element. The spring clip may engage one of the end faces and the latching element may engage the opposite end face.
