    摘要: Provided is a bearing with a magnetic fluid seal reliably maintaining sealing of a rolling element section in the bearing and having a structure ensuring high productivity. In a bearing with a magnetic fluid seal according to the present invention, a plurality of rolling elements 7 are disposed between an inner ring and an outer ring, and a ring-shaped magnet is arranged at an opening side of the inner and outer rings so as to retain magnetic fluid, so that the plurality of rolling elements are sealed. The magnet is magnetized so that magnetic poles are oriented in an axial direction. A ring-shaped pole plate is arranged to be in contact with an outer side surface of the magnet in the axial direction. Outer-ring-side magnetic fluid is retained between the outer ring and the magnet, and inner-ring-side magnetic fluid is retained between the inner ring and the pole plate.

    摘要: The present disclosure describes a magnetic fluid sealing device having a shaft centered with respect to a magnetic structure and rolling element bearing, as well as a method for centering the shaft in the device. A compressible ring located in a groove on the shaft is used to partially fill the gap between the shaft and the rolling element bearing and to make contact with the rolling element bearing. The compressible ring aligns and centers the shaft with the rolling element bearing. A liquid locking material is added to the gap and hardened to couple the shaft and compressible ring to the rolling element bearing. An alternative self-alignment mechanism is also disclosed.

    摘要: A fluid seal is disposed in a radial gap between a shaft of a motor and a hub rotatably held about the shaft, for preventing contaminates such as oil dusts and the like within the motor from leaking to the outside of the motor. The fluid seal has an annular body disposed about the axis of the motor shaft that is fixed to the hub directly or with a fluid seal holder. The annular sealing surface of the annular body is spaced from the outer sealing surface of the shaft by a minute gap, and a sealing portion is formed in the gap. The gap is filled with a fluid having a sufficient barrier pressure to prevent contaminates from flowing out of the motor. The fluid seal may have an approximately concave shape facing the axis of the shaft when the shaft is cut away by a plane passing through the axis of the shaft. This structure prevents the fluid from being scattered due to centrifugal force arising during operation of the motor. The fluid seal also may have an angled seal structure to keep the fluid in against external shocks. A fluid seal built-into a ball bearing is also disclosed.

The end portion of the inner shielding member has a T-shape or L-shape. A magnet is arranged at either the inner shielding member or the outer shielding member. A ferrofluid is retained in the cavity by the surrounding magnet. An oil repellent material may be coated on the surface of the inner shielding member except for a portion extending into the cavity and an adhered portion on its inner diameter side.
