摘要: A thrust roller bearing includes rollers arranged in a radial manner, an annular cage that retains the rollers such that the rollers are rollable, an annular outer race located on one side of the cage in an axial direction of the cage and having a first raceway on which the rollers roll, and an annular inner race located on the other side of the cage in the axial direction and having a second raceway on which the rollers roll. At least one of the first raceway and the second raceway has a Vickers hardness that is greater than or equal to 800 and less than or equal to 950. The outer circumferential surface of each of the rollers has a Vickers hardness that is greater than or equal to 697 and less than 800.

摘要: A method of providing lubricant to a bearing assembly is provided. The method includes providing a bearing assembly including a housing with an inner surface that forms an outer race, a plurality of rolling elements that roll on the outer race, and a packet having a rupturable membrane and a predetermined volume of lubricant therein. At least one of a shaft or a cage is inserted into the bearing assembly and ruptures the packet via engagement of the packet with at least one of the shaft or the cage such that the volume of lubricant is distributed to contact surfaces of the bearing assembly.

The projecting portions (44) have a width that is ⅓ or more and ⅔ or less of the width of the pockets (21).

摘要: A roller circle assembly for heavy machinery includes an upper circular rail and a lower circular rail concentrically arranged about a central axis, and tapered rollers between the upper and lower rail. Each tapered roller includes a flange having an angled and convex flange contact surface that contacts the lower rail. The lower rail and/or the upper rail can include an angled surface configured for contact with the flange contact surface. The geometry of the rollers and the lower rail are configured to reduce the stresses applied to the rollers and lower rail due to contact between the flange contact surface and the angled surface.

The cage includes a radially inner rim including a first flange, and a plurality of first retention tabs extend from the first flange that include first and second lateral surfaces. A radially outer rim includes a second flange, and a plurality of second retention tabs extend from the second flange that include third and fourth lateral surfaces. The first and second lateral surfaces of the first retention tabs and the third and fourth lateral surfaces of the second retention tabs face each of the pockets to define lower rolling element retention elements. Webs include first and second rolling element facing guide surfaces that face adjacent ones of the pockets. Upper rolling element retention elements of the webs are provided on an opposite side of a centerline from the lower rolling element retention elements.
