Abstract:
An accumulator having a housing, a spring-loaded liquid inlet-outlet valve, a gas charging and release valve, and a gas-liquid separator in which a top is provided releasably connected to the housing for servicing the accumulator from the top. The top is slidably insertable into the top of the housing and a releasable lock is positioned externally of the top for locking the top in the housing. The lock is prevented from releasing while the top is held in an upward position by pressure in the housing and can only be released when the pressure in the housing is reduced and the top is moved downwardly. The locking means includes a notch in the exterior of the housing, a locking ring, and a backup shoulder on the exterior of the top. An anti-extrusion ring is bonded on the bottom edge of the top and slidably engages the interior of the housing for preventing damage to the separator. Preferably the top includes a dome and an annular flange extending around the lower end of the dome. The liquid inlet-outlet valve is a poppet valve in which the valve element is enclosed by a resilient coating with an annular resilient ring bonded to the coating and positioned to seat on the valve seat. The separator may be a bag separator or a cylindrical solid float having a tapered bottom with a plurality of axially extending recesses about its outer periphery for preventing the float from sticking on the interior of the housing.

An expansion tank includes two half-shells coupled to each other, an inner flexible membrane suited to divide the inside of the casing in two compartments, a counter cap made of a thermoplastic material, a pipe fitting suited to provide a connection and having a first tubular portion and a second portion in the shape of a flat ring that are made of a thermoplastic material, wherein the second ring-shaped portion is joined to the counter cap at the level of an opening in the tank.
Abstract:
A spindle supporting box structure, wherein longitudinal parts forming both ends of lateral parts at each of right and left longitudinal side faces facing, with a spindle therebetween, in a direction almost perpendicular to longitudinal side faces facing in a front-back direction are formed by longitudinal tubular members having suitable flexural rigidity. A damping structure wherein required frameworks of structures are formed by tubular members and wherein concrete is filled in the tubular members and then solidified. As an alternative, a powdery damping material or a jelly damping material is airtightly sealed in the tubular members. An inner space of one or more of the tubular members is made into a gas pressurized tank wherein a balance cylinder is connected to the gas pressurized tank and wherein the gas in the gas pressurized tank directly acts on a cylinder chamber of the balance cylinder.
Abstract:
In a pressure accumulator having a cylindrical housing, a coaxial perforated pipe supported within the housing through which pressure medium flows and an elastic tubular partition dividing the space between the housing and the pipe into an outer annular gas chamber and an inner chamber. The ends of the cylindrical housing have recessed sections and tapered end rings which press the elastic tube against the recessed sections to seal the accumulator. The rings also support the perforated tube and have means for fitting the accumulator in a pressure line.
Abstract:
A medicament preparation system includes a water purification module and a medicament proportioning module that is interoperable with a replaceable fluid circuit. The fluid circuit includes a purified water inlet, a product medicament outlet, and a plurality of pumping tube segments. At least a first concentrate container is connected by at least a portion of the fluid circuit to the product medicament output and a first concentration measurement sensor station is positioned in a flow path. A controller is programmed to calculate iteratively a concentration of a first concentrate from the first concentrate container and the purified water from a signal generated by the first concentration measurement sensor station and to regulate one or both of a first pumping actuator engaged with the first pumping tube segment and a second pumping actuator engaged with the second pumping tube segment, responsively to the concentration of the first concentrate and water.
Abstract:
In one aspect of the present invention, an energy storage system has an elastic hydraulic fluid vessel with an internal variable volume and being coupled to a hydraulic rotary mechanism. The elastic hydraulic fluid vessel has an elastic material adapted to store a potential energy within its fibers when the internal volume is increased by a hydraulic fluid. The hydraulic rotary mechanism is adapted to be accelerated by the release of the potential energy of the fibers of the elastic vessel by ejecting the hydraulic fluid from the internal variable volume into the rotary mechanism.
Abstract:
A hydraulic pulsation damper system for installation into an otherwise rigid hydraulic system to absorb and extinguish pressure pulsations being transmitted through the system by hydraulic fluid contained therein. The system is useful in suppressing pulsations in automotive fuel lines supplying fuel to fuel injection systems. The system includes fuel-conducting tubing made of flexible, non-permeable material that includes a convoluted central portion capable of expanding and contracting in response to pulsations in the fuel. Resilient foam is molded around the convoluted portion for controlling expansion of the convolutions. The foam and convoluted tubing are contained within a housing made from a larger-diameter hose having ends sealed as by swaged connectors. The damper system may be bent to accommodate installation with a fuel line in an engine and can conveniently provide a sound-deadening link in the fuel line of a vehicle between a body-mounted portion and an engine-mounted portion thereof.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an accumulator for use on hydraulic brake systems. The accumulator includes a housing, a pressurization cap which is threadably connected into the housing and a resilient bulb contained within a volume between the housing and pressurization cap. The resilient bulb provides a flexible volume which can expand in response to high pressure surges and shock waves experienced by the braking system. The bulb is contained primarily within an interior cavity formed in the pressurization cap. The resilient bulb is constructed in a size and shape which causes an annular volume between the bulb and pressurization cap to be pre-pressurized when the accumulator is assembled together. The accumulator is also provided with a particularly effective sealing arrangement to prevent leakage of air and hydraulic fluid from around the bulb.
