摘要: A rainwater collection system has at least one storage tank, a conveyance line, and a drain emitter. The conveyance line transfers collected water to the at least one storage tank. The drain emitter is connected to the conveyance line such that a primary portion of the collected water flows into the at least one storage tank and a secondary portion of the collected water flows out of the conveyance line through the drain emitter. The secondary portion is removed at a preset emitter flow rate sufficient to drain standing water from the conveyance line to prevent freezing of standing water within the conveyance line.

摘要: A system of components, which, when assembled, form a rainwater separator for a downpipe is disclosed. The system includes, among other things, a screen for fine filtering of the rainwater. In a first assembly arrangement, the parts are assembled to form a rainwater separator with the screen so that the filtered water can be used as non-potable water for the household. In a second assembly arrangement, the screen is omitted, so that the water obtained from the rainwater separator may be utilized for watering the garden, for example.

摘要: An automatic retractable gutter assembly (10) dispenses rainwater collected in a gutter (14). A short down-tube (26) is attached to the gutter (14). The down-tube (14) has a high relief port (42). A spout (54) is pivotally connected at a fulcrum point (56) to a lower end (32) of the down-tube (14) for articulated movement between closed and deployed positions in response to the absence or presence of rainwater. The spout (54) partially overlies the high relief port (42) when in its closed position, yet exposes a cleaning gap (70) through which a kinetic fluid stream can be directed to back-flush accumulated debris.

摘要: A dissipator for providing controlled water drainage from a downspout. The dissipator comprises a base and a cover plate. The base provides engagement with a downspout and the cover plate is configured to mount to a portion of the base, defining at least one drainage hole. A skirt portion of the base couples to the downspout so that the at least one drainage hole of the cover plate provides controlled water drainage by dissipating the water flowing within the downspout and through the dissipator.

摘要: An articulating downspout assembly for a downspout system of a building has an elbow component and an end component each having an integrated or integral configuration that cooperatively join with each other to form a hinge. The hinge allows the end component to pivot between a prone position and an upright position. In the upright position the end component is at an angle relative to the elbow component such that a downspout extension section coupled to the end component leans toward and/or against a vertical downspout portion of the building's downspout system. This prevents the end component and thus the downspout extension from spontaneously falling (pivoting) back to the prone position. The integrated configuration of the elbow component is characterized by one or more configured slots while the integrated configuration of the end component is characterized by one or more configured tabs. Preferably, the integrated configuration of one or more configured slots of the elbow component is formed in an upper surface of an end portion of the elbow component, while the integrated configuration of one or more configured tabs of the end component is formed in and projects from an upper end surface of the end component. The resulting hinge between the elbow component and the end component does not stress the material (e.g. metal) of either the elbow component or the end component.

摘要: An automatic eaves trough downspout includes a first conduit and a second conduit. The first conduit has a coupling socket. The second conduit has a hollow cylindrical coupling body is adapted to fit in the socket to form a pivotal connection. A pair of pivot pins serve as an axle for relative pivotal movement of the first conduit and the second conduit. A torsion spring overlies at least one of the pivot pins to bias the second conduit into a substantially vertical stored position. A ratchet engagement is provided between the pivot pin and the socket of the first conduit, which permits rotational movement pin in the first direction to increase spring tension and resists rotational movement in the second direction.
