    摘要: Metal roofing includes metal roof-covering sheets or tiles having apertures along longitudinal end edges for coupling a pair of the sheets in an overlapping condition. One fastening arrangement comprises a fastener having a shaft extending in a longitudinal direction and fastening features at longitudinally spaced positions along the shaft. The fastening features may comprise a fastening peg or an opening receiving a fastening member therethrough. The pegs and openings may be combined in such a manner that at least two of the features cooperate with the apertures of the respective sheet in opposing transverse directions so as to longitudinally offset the apertures in the overlapping condition. Another fastening arrangement comprises a roof-covering sheet locating fastenings pegs which are spaced inward of the apertures in a longitudinal direction of the sheet so as to form the longitudinal offset between the respective sets of apertures.

    摘要: An interlocking panel system for top-down installation on an underlying structure including a plurality of panels, with an uphill course and a downhill course where each panel is generally rectangular, having an uphill edge and opposing downhill edge. An interlocking member is disposed along the uphill edge, and a receiving member adapted to receive the interlocking member and a joining flange are disposed along the downhill edge. A panel of the uphill course is affixed to an underlying structure via fasteners through the joining flange. The interlocking member of a panel of the downhill course is insertable into the receiving member of the uphill course, and the position of the panel of the downhill course is adjustable within the span of the receiving member.

    摘要: A two-part fastening mechanism employing (1) a continuous metal strip having attachment slots whose axes are oriented parallel to the length of the strip, and (2) a single preformed metal connector piece having a longitudinally-oriented hook for gripping one end of a tile and a stem portion insertable into one of the slots in the metal fastening strip and bendable over the slot and back upon itself for retaining the connector piece attached to the continuous metal strip. When installed, the fastening mechanism holds each tile in two places: at a first end via the hook, and at an opening in the tile where the connector piece passes through.

    摘要: A roof arrangement includes a plurality of spaced apart substantially parallel adjacent battens arranged on increasing higher levels and a plurality of rows of roof slates supported on the battens. Each row of roof slates comprises a plurality of adjacently arranged slates with a gap being defined between two adjacent slates. Adjacent rows of slates are off-set. A support strip is located below the gap between two adjacent slates and extends laterally beyond the gap to a location underneath the two slates defining the gap, and further extends from one batten to a next higher batten. A waterproof strip extends below a row of slates from close to the lower end of the slates of the row of slates and is bent over the upper end of the slates of the row of slates to rest on to the upper end of the row of slates. First attachment elements pass through each slate near its upper end and through the waterproof strip below the slate into a batten located below the slate. Second attachment elements pass through each slate near the bottom thereof and through the support strip below the slate.

    摘要: The invention is a mounting assembly for attaching panels to a support surface. It includes various designs of spaced elongated mounting tracks secured to the support surface (usually a deck or wall), and panels provided with mounting devices, such as clips, detachably secured at opposite edges of each panel. These devices serve as the intermediary in attaching the panel to the mounting track, which, in turn, is fastened to the support deck or to an other appropriate surface. Each panel is attached to a mounting track in a way that permits arrangement in courses, with the panels side by side, and when appropriate, in overlapping courses.
