A conduit assembly is disposed on the underlayment assembly and structured to define a path of fluid flow. The path of fluid flow extends along at least a majority portion of said underlayment assembly. The conduit assembly is disposed in a single, continuous, looped relation to the underlayment assembly. A plurality of pan tiles are partially disposed in a confronting relation to the underlayment assembly. At least some of the plurality of pan tiles are partially disposed in an overlying relation to at least a portion of the conduit assembly. The plurality of pan tiles are disposed to have a predetermined spacing in between each other, which is disposed to receive at least a portion of the conduit assembly.

The outer surface of the remaining central rolling tread part is run down to make it smooth and even and the tile is heated to between 210 .degree. and 300 .degree. F. for about one-half hour to straighten the longitudinal curvature. The cross curvature is maintained for a colonial type tile aspect.

    摘要： A tile used for a weather seal on a roof comprises a curved sheet substantially straight in its longitudinal dimension and curved in its transverse dimension so that it has a convex side and a concave side. The edges of the tile converge toward each other so that one end is in the form of an arc which is smaller than the arc at the opposite end. A pocket is formed in one end on the convex side with its opening facing toward the opposite end and another pocket is formed at the opposite end at the concave side with an opening facing the first mentioned end. By reason of this construction a number of tiles may be attached together in tandem by inserting a pocket member on the convex side into a pocket member on the concave side and visa versa. A tandem series of such tiles can be used to form so-called valleys on a roof and also to form so-called ridges which overlie the edges of adjacent valleys. Hooked tab means are provided for insertion in pockets of the individual tiles for securing them to a roof.

The pan tile includes a planar base and two oppositely disposed planar side segments extending outwardly from opposite peripheries of said base at a common, preferred obtuse angle. Leading and trailing ends of pan tiles have a greater and lesser transverse dimension respectively, wherein the side segments or oriented in a converging configuration extending from the leading end to the trailing end of the pan tile. Solar energy systems may also be incorporated in the individual pan tiles and/or the longitudinal arrays thereof.

    摘要： A two-part fastening mechanism employing (1) a continuous metal strip having attachment slots whose axes are oriented parallel to the length of the strip, and (2) a single preformed metal connector piece having a longitudinally-oriented hook for gripping one end of a tile and a stem portion insertable into one of the slots in the metal fastening strip and bendable over the slot and back upon itself for retaining the connector piece attached to the continuous metal strip. When installed, the fastening mechanism holds each tile in two places: at a first end via the hook, and at an opening in the tile where the connector piece passes through.
