摘要： Disclosed herein are water conservation methods and apparatuses that comprise optionally directing drainage water from a sink by a valve to either a toilet storage tank or the sewer or septic system. The drainage water diverted to the toilet storage tank can then be recycled by being used to flush the toilet. The valve may be easily manipulated by a user to provide a convenient option to recycle water for flushing the toilet, a use that is currently a major factor in the overconsumption of water in a household.

摘要： The initially cold water streams of a household hot water plumbing circuit are accumulated in a storage container to be thereafter drained off with the cold water stream, at various flow restricted levels, thereby conserving water use. This accumulate may be adjustably admixed into the waste products of a household drinking water purification system, thereby diluting it to acceptable levels that may be useful for washing and the like. Additionally, and/or alternatively, the fresh water stream may be admixed into the water purification waste water stream. Each of these water conserving functions is conformed to be combined in a stepwise manner, thereby accommodating budgetary and use growth constraints.

摘要： An apparatus for routing, treating and recycling refuse includes a first valve connected between the drain and the main sewer line for receiving water and refuse flowing through the drain. A compost pile and water separation tank are connected to a second valve which is connected to receive water and refuse from the first valve. The first valve operates between a first position directing the water and refuse received thereby to the main sewer line and a second position directing the water and refuse received thereby to the second valve. The second valve operates between a first position directing the water and refuse received from the first valve to the compost pile and a second position for directing the water and refuse received from the first valve to the separation tank. The water received by the separation tank is stored in a water storage tank for recycling and later use while the refuse directed to the compost pile and separation tank is collected for later use. The apparatus for routing, treating and recycling refuse is controlled by a control panel positioned adjacent the drain and connected to control the first and second valves. The apparatus may also include a third valve for further routing the water from the separation tank to a hose for supplying the a water to a garden or to another facility such as a toilet or sink.

摘要： Reuse of household bathing water for subsurface irrigation of landscaping requires a diverter fitting to enable safe diversion of water away from the bathing area to the subsurface irrigation system. The water diverter fitting described includes an inlet port and two outlet ports, as well as a directional strainer. Orientation of the strainer determines which outlet the majority of the water flows out of, the remainder of the water trickling out of the other port to be used in trap priming and enhancement of line flow. One outlet can also be used as a plug and play access point for a plurality of water regulation technologies including drain closure for a bathing vessel and heat recovery technologies. The directional strainer also serves as a removable fiber filter, and fits within the drain fitting such that a blockage in the water reuse system will allow automatic backflow to the primary sanitary drain without intervention by the bather and without pooling of diverted water. Directing both ports to the primary sanitary drain will result in a higher drainage fitting.

摘要： The present invention is directed to a grey water diversion system. The diversion system that directs grey water from a fixture, such as a wash basin, sink, bathtub, or shower, to a sewer line or septic tank, to a reservoir, or to another fixture for use. The system consists of a structure inserted in line with the fixture's drain, whether directly affixed to the drain or to a pipe leading from the drain. The diversion device is controlled by the user of the fixture for instantaneous diversion of water to be sent to grey water use or storage or to be sent to a sewer system. The diversion system is meant to be able to be installed using the fixture of the operator's choice. This fixture may be new or the one currently installed. The fixture may be a standard fixture and need not be custom-made or special-ordered for use with the diversion system.
