Abstract: The invention relates to a multilayer prepreg comprising a first and a second fiber prepreg, one or two micaceous prepregs and B staged thermosetting resin, which may be different for each layer or identical. The micaceous prepregs are positioned on the top (outside) of the fiber prepregs. There may be plurality of further fiber prepregs. The micaceous prepregs preferably comprise mica flakes in the form of a mica paper. The use of such prepreg as surfacing layer at the top of a composite material or near the top of a composite material can determine an improvement in burn-through and fire retardancy performance of composite materials. It is also disclosed a cured composite panel, such as an aircraft part, obtainable by curing the multilayer prepreg to a C stage.

The dry prepregs comprise a tow or fabric of ceramic fibers infiltrated with preceramic matrix comprising low levels of an aqueous solvent. The preceramic matrix contains an inorganic portion and a binder system. Binder systems comprising a binder and a plasticizer for the binder are described.

Abstract: A composite product includes basalt fibers and a liquid polymer resin mixed with a curing agent and infused into the basalt fibers. A method of making the composite product includes mixing a liquid polymer resin with a curing agent to form a resin matrix; infusing the resin matrix into basalt fibers; and curing the basalt fibers infused with the resin matrix to form the composite product. The method may further include adding an additive including at least one of graphene or graphite to the liquid polymer resin and the curing agent, and mixing the additive with them to form the resin matrix which is infused into the basalt fibers. It may further include weighing the additive, at about 0.1% to 0.3% of a weight of the liquid polymer resin and curing agent, to be added to the liquid polymer resin and curing agent.

Abstract: A UAV surface coating includes at least a bonding layer, an antioxidant layer, an oxygen-blocking propagation layer and a heat-insulation cooling layer. The coating is fabricated on a surface of a UAV machine body or covers on the surface of the UAV machine body through a composite material matrix. The UAV machine body is made of lightweight material, and the composite material matrix includes a resin-based composite matrix and a ceramic-based composite matrix. Wherein, a thickness of the bonding layer is from 20 μm to 200 μm, a thickness of the oxygen-blocking propagation layer is from 20 μm to 200 μm, and a thickness of the heat-insulation cooling layer is from 80 μm to 1000 μm.

Abstract: Provided are a porous silicone resin and a light-weight flexible flame-retardant composite material, belonging to the technical field of nano-porous materials. The porous silicon resin is prepared from a porous silicon resin precursor solution by means of curing and drying processes. The porous silicone resin precursor solution includes a flame retardant, a surfactant, a siloxane monomer, a catalyst, an auxiliary agent and a solvent. The porous silicone resin precursor solution is obtained by firstly dissolving the flame retardant and the surfactant in the solvent, and then adding the siloxane monomer, the catalyst and the auxiliary agent and mixing them uniformly. The porous silicone resin and the light-weight flexible flame-retardant composite material prepared therefrom have the excellent properties of high porosity, high flame retardancy, high elasticity and high strain.
