Abstract:
An apparatus and method may be configured for detecting selection between a hot version and a cold version of a beverage, causing opening of a first of a plurality of valves and closing of a second of the plurality of valves for providing water to a first of a plurality of mixing chambers based on the selection, causing delivery of beverage concentrate to the first mixing chamber, controlling a flow rate of the water and a flow rate of the beverage concentrate into the mixing chamber for mixing of the water with the beverage concentrate in a controlled ratio to create the beverage, and dispensing the beverage from the mixing chamber.
Abstract:
A beverage making machine includes a beverage diluent receptacle for storing a beverage diluent liquid. The beverage making machine further includes a beverage making cartridge includes at least one of a beverage ingredient, the beverage making cartridge is arranged to receive at least portion of the beverage diluent liquid, and a dispenser selectively dispenses a predefined ratio of the beverage ingredient and the beverage diluent liquid to form a beverage. Exemplary embodiments include a gas source portion, the gas source portion contains a solid gas source that through sublimation emits a gas, wherein the gas source portion is arranged to thermally couple the cold surface temperature of the solid gas source to the beverage diluent receptacle, cooling the beverage diluent liquid.

Abstract:
A beverage supplying device comprising: a touch panel for receiving an operation for selecting a main syrup constituting a main beverage, and a topping syrup added as flavoring to the main beverage; a second syrup solenoid valve for opening and closing a passage for supplying the topping syrup that is stored under pressure in a syrup tank; a second syrup pump for intermittently supplying the topping syrup while the second syrup solenoid valve is open, the second syrup pump being provided to the passage for supplying the topping syrup between the syrup tank and the second syrup solenoid valve; and a nozzle for producing the main beverage by mixing the main syrup with water or carbonated water at a prescribed ratio, and producing a beverage by mixing the topping syrup with the main beverage without diluting the topping syrup.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a Modular Liquid Infusing, Flavoring and Dispensing Device that provides a means to infuse flavor into liquids for variable periods of time prior to dispensing, and after the brewing process, wherein the system provides a means to control the rate at which the liquid is dispensed, reduces the trauma to the dispensed liquid, and reduces the amount of foaming in the dispensed liquid. The present invention further provides a method for using the Modular Liquid Infusing, Flavoring, and Dispensing Device.
Abstract:
Apparatus for dispensing a semi-frozen beverage is disclosed in which a freeze cylinder 12 for converting a beverage to a desired semi-frozen condition is positioned at a remote location from a dispense tap 10. The freeze cylinder 12 is connected to the tap 10 by a flow line 13 for maintaining the semi-frozen condition of the beverage between the freeze cylinder 12 and the tap 10. The flow line 13 may be insulated and additional cooling may be provided between freeze cylinder 12 and the tap 10. The flow line 13 may be in the form of a re-circulation loop for returning semi-frozen beverage to the freeze cylinder 12 for re-conditioning. A dosing unit 71 may be provided for adding flavours, spirits or other components to the semi-frozen beverage such that a range of beverages may be provided for dispense from the tap 10.
Abstract:
A tank unit having a flow rate adjusting mechanism, an electromagnetic valve, a mixer, etc. is disposed in the center of the body of the united type-beverage dispenser, and BIB units having BIBs, peristaltic pumps, nozzles, etc. are disposed on both sides of the tank unit. When the BIBs are removed out of the BIB units, the space for adjusting the flow rate adjusting mechanism and the electromagnetic valve are provided on both side of them, so that the adjustment work for them can be conducted without removing the side plate or top plate of the body.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for generating a flavoring syrup within a soft drink dispenser are disclosed. Syrup generation tanks receive sugar and water and combine the two to create a saturated solution constituting a sweetening syrup. The sweetening syrup is passed to a dispensing head. A flavoring agent is also presented at the dispensing head, as is a supply of soda or carbonated water. Dispensing of the sweetening syrup, flavoring agent, and soda is controlled by valves associated with each of the ingredients. The brix of the sweetening syrup is determined as a function of the temperature of the sweetening syrup, such brix being determinative of the amount of sweetening syrup dispensed to assure a proper brix level of the resulting drink.
