    摘要: A portable lift is provided. The portable lift includes a top frame assembly, a carriage frame, a base frame, and a hoist mechanism. The top frame assembly is secures top ends of a pair of stringers together. The base frame assembly secures bottom ends of the pair of stringers together forming the portable lift frame. The carriage frame includes a plurality of wheel assemblies each having a plurality of wheels. The plurality of wheels releasably retain to and slidably engage with a stringer of the pair of stringers. The hoist mechanism includes a motor, a spool rotatable by the motor, a pulley secured to the top frame assembly, and a hoist cable wrapped around the spool and running from the spool through the pulley and secured to the carriage frame.

The system includes a base assembly having an adjustable width, a material support platform hingedly attached to the base assembly, the platform supported angularly above the base assembly by at least two support tubes hingedly attached to the base assembly, a left pair and a right pair of rail guides aligned along the length of the base assembly, the rails removably attached to the underside of the base assembly, and a left pair and a right pair of wheels axially mounted between each rail guide pair, the bottom edges of the rail guides extending past the edges of the wheels, the system characterized in that the rail guides and wheels enable the transport system to be pulled along the rails of a ladder by wire, rope, or like component attached to the transport system.

    摘要: An apparatus for lifting planar objects which includes an extendable rectilinear elongated frame formed of at least two spaced U-beams, each U-beam defining a longitudinal runway and having an elongated area removed from a forward face below a midpoint of the frame. The removed elongated area defines an entranceway to the longitudinal runway. The entranceway is dimensioned to receive the planar object for placement on a transport carriage while maintaining a top portion of the planar object within the longitudinal runway. The carriage is configured to laterally span the two spaced U-beams such that a portion of the carriage and a portion of the planar object are confined within each interior longitudinal runway at least during transport. A skid is perpendicularly joined to a forward face of the carriage at about its bottom edge. The skid is configured to support the planar object during placement and lifting. A pull cable is affixed at one end to the carriage at about a midpoint of a lateral dimension and in proximity to a top edge of the carriage. A first cross member is laterally joined to a top of the frame which includes a pulley aligned such that the pull cable when in communication with the pulley and affixed to the carriage are aligned along a common longitudinal centerline between the two spaced U-beams. A second cross member is likewise laterally joined to the frame in proximity to the entranceway. A winch is connected to an opposite end of the pull cable and configured to move the carriage and planar object through the longitudinal runways.

    摘要: An emergency stop mechanism for a lifting device capable of moving a load along a predetermined path against and with the force of gravity using a winch-operated primary cable, and wherein the primary cable accomplishes a lifting function by pulling the load in the direction of increased potential energy. The emergency stop mechanism comprises a secondary cable suspended stationary and parallel to the path of movement of the load. A braking device fastened to the load is actuated by a decrease in tension in the primary cable below a predetermined minimum amount of tension and responds to such decrease by gripping the secondary cable.
