Abstract:
Described is a transport device for paper which includes a metal conveyor belt through which air can flow and which is guided over at least two rollers, with the upper section of the belt forming the transport section and its lower section forming the returning section. A vacuum generator is arranged below the upper section. The conveyor belt is a metal mesh so as to be easy to produce and install.
Abstract:
A longitudinal folding machine comprises a folding blade and a folding table. The folding blade is driven with a cyclical frequency relative to one or more elements of a web-processing machine, or relative to a flow of incoming products. The entry of a leading edge of products is detected at a first measurement point. A relative phase position between the movement of the folding blade and the phase position of the elements and/or the phase position of the flow of products is modified by one of a control and a regulation device to adjust a contact point of the folding blade with the products to be folded. The relative phase position is modified such that the leading edges of the products to be folded are maintained at a distance from the measurement point on the delivery route.
Abstract:
An apparatus transports a discrete paper or film object in a machine direction for insertion into an envelope. A guide assembly of the apparatus includes opposed first and second channels facing one another for guiding the object in the machine direction, with the channels extending upwardly to thereby define an uphill path of travel for the object. A drive apparatus includes engaging elements for moving the object along the first and second channels. At least one support element holds the object against the guide assembly.
Abstract:
An image-forming device includes: an image-forming unit; a sheet discharge unit; a sheet support unit; and a reading unit. The image-forming unit forms images on a recording sheet. The sheet discharge unit discharges, in a sheet discharging direction, a recording sheet formed with an image by the image-forming unit. The sheet support unit is disposed above the image-forming unit, and supports sheet discharged from the sheet discharge unit. The reading unit is disposed above the sheet support unit, with an underside surface of the reading unit opposing a top surface of the sheet support unit. The sheet discharge unit is configured to discharge the sheet diagonally upwardly so that sheet discharged by the sheet discharge unit contacts the underside surface of the reading unit.
Abstract:
A method of advancing packaging blanks disposed standing upright in a magazine, one after the other, in a file or queue resting against the bottom of the magazine and disposed to be driven forwards through the magazine towards a stop at an outlet end for individual discharge comprises the file or queue of blanks being divided into two pressure zones, a first and forward pressure zone extending from the zone limit between the pressure zones up to the stop and displaying a first mutual pressure between neighbouring blanks, as well as a rear second pressure zone displaying a second mutual pressure between neighbouring blanks. The first mutual pressure is higher than the second mutual pressure. Another aspect of the disclosure pertains to an apparatus for carrying out advancement of the packaging blanks.
Abstract:
A sheet feeder including (1) a sheet storing unit in which a plurality of sheets are stacked, (2) a sheet feed roller that abuts an uppermost one of the sheets stacked in the sheet storing unit and conveys the sheets in a predetermined conveying direction, (3) a friction member provided in the bottom plate, that abuts a lowermost one of the sheets stacked in the sheet storing unit, and (4) a rotation suppressing member that suppresses rotation of the friction member. Wherein the friction member is a roller member including a roller portion, and a plurality of fibrous members arranged at an outer peripheral surface of the roller portion. Wherein the bottom plate of the sheet storing unit has an opening that houses the friction member. Wherein the sheet feed roller abuts the friction member when there is no sheet in the sheet storing unit.
Abstract:
A parallel folding apparatus of a folding machine, which can automatically exercise position control of brush guides in accordance with folding specifications while the machine is in operation, is provided. In the parallel folding apparatus of the folding machine, comprising: a first jaw cylinder (26), an upper second jaw cylinder (27), and a lower second jaw cylinder (28) arranged, with their circumferential surfaces in contact with one another, grippers (36a to 36d) of the upper second jaw cylinder, or grippers (36a to 36d, 38b, 38d) of the upper second jaw cylinder and the lower second jaw cylinder, being arranged to double-parallel-fold a signature in cooperation with knives of the first jaw cylinder; and brush guides (41) disposed along the circumferential surface of the first jaw cylinder located upstream, in the rotating direction, of the points of contact of the first jaw cylinder with the upper second jaw cylinder and the lower second jaw cylinder, each brush guide is provided so as to be movable toward and away from the circumferential surface of the first jaw cylinder by a pair of (right and left) drive portions (44a, 44b) comprising threaded shafts (51a, 51b) and brackets (58a, 58b) driven by motors (47a, 47b) with rotary encoders (55a, 55b).
Abstract:
A sheet feed shaft is provided wherein mutually opposed spike-shape projections are formed throughout the whole surface of a metallic rod.A rotational angle of a metallic rod (1) is controlled to form a plurality of spike-shape portions whose bristled directions are opposite to each other while supporting the metallic rod at both ends thereof and a pair of punch units (24) each having a pair of perforating edges (28) arranged orderly in an axial direction of the metallic rod (1) are reciprocated with respect to a circumferential surface of the metallic rod (1) simultaneously from both sides of the metallic rod to perforate the circumferential surface of the metallic rod, the metallic rod being allowed to rotate step by step in a successive manner during the perforating work.
Abstract:
A manual paper supply device is equipped with a paper shear prevention member 35 for preventing shear of the paper 9 loaded into the manual feed paper supply tray. A brush 36 is arranged on the paper shear prevention member 35 to make contact with the paper 9; and the brush 36 is arranged to form an acute angle against the paper 9 in the paper 9 feed direction G. Skewing and floating of the paper 9 are prevented accordingly when the paper 9 is set. Further, the generation of multi-feed and marking of the paper 9 is avoided.
Abstract:
A lay-flat device of a blown film extrusion installation includes brush rollers in the upper half entirely or partly. The brush rollers include bristles which are directed obliquely outwards and which, on contact with an extruded film tube, exert a slight spreading force on the film, by which folding is avoided.
