摘要: A marine seismic data acquisition system and method of conducting a marine seismic survey are disclosed. The system incorporates one or more surface vessels, and a plurality of autonomous nodes for acquiring seismic data at one or more seabed locations. Each node comprises a USBL, SSBL or SBL transducer and USBL, SSBL or SBL acoustic modem. A first acoustic positioning system is operable between one of the surface vessels and the nodes, the first acoustic positioning system being a USBL, SSBL or SBL system. Each node of the plurality of autonomous nodes has a USBL, SSBL or SBL beacon address, with respective groups of nodes having the same beacon address. The nodes are configured such that no two nodes with the same beacon address can actively communicate over an associated USBL, SSBL or SBL modem at the same time.

摘要: Various embodiments of an apparatus and method for achieving and maintaining a desired depth of a submersible vessel are disclosed. The submersible vessel has both a ballast control system designed to alter a buoyancy of the submersible vessel and one or more vertical marine thrusters, designed to position the submersible vessel at a desired depth. Using the combination of the ballast control system and one or more thrusters, a desired depth may be achieved and maintained more quickly, more quietly and more accurately than vessels using only a ballast control system or one or more thrusters, respectively, alone.

摘要: A submarine apparatus includes an internal bellows pipe that compresses and decompresses as the apparatus descends into and ascends within a water current. When the device is in a rising pressure process, water may condense inside a tube which may be collected in a tank. Water may also be condensed due to cold temperatures of the surrounding water and relative warmer air inside the AWS. The water may be used as a fresh source of water for drinking. Some embodiments include a generator assembly that generates electricity from a propellor move within the current. The electricity may be routed to powered components in the apparatus.

摘要: Generally, the present disclosure relates to a forward deployed sensor system or, in a specific embodiment, a forward deployed radar (FDR) system. The forward deployed sensor system includes a radar system and may also include other types of sensors such as optical sensors, acoustic sensors including sonar, and electromagnetic sensors. Further, the forward deployed sensor system may also include a communication system such as a full spectrum receiver/transmitter, a ship to ship relay transponder, a satellite communication system, and global positioning system (GPS) capability. The forward deployed sensor system is able to detect objects in the air, on the sea, and underwater, and communicate such detection to a ship, submarine, aircraft, satellite, or other remote location. Such systems may be used to augment the protection of shipping lanes by military or security forces to allow for peaceful commerce and utility of the sea by all nations.

摘要: A submersible raft device that is primarily used for aquaculture farming. The raft device has a raft surface, a buoyance support structure, and a submersion control system. The buoyance support structure and the submersion control system allow the raft to be submerged to a desired depth beneath the ocean surface. When used for certain kinds of aquaculture farming, such as mussel farming, submerging the raft below the surface protects the raft, as well as the mussels growing on ropes suspended from the raft, from damage in times of hazardous sea conditions.
