Abstract: A pontoon boat with a fencing defining the passenger region on a deck of the pontoon boat. The fencing comprising a plurality of fencing sections, each fencing comprising a plurality of fencing sections, each fencing section comprising a fencing framework and paneling secured to the fencing framework. The fencing framework of each fencing section comprises a plurality of aluminum tubular extrusion segments with opposing open ends, a plurality of segment connectors interconnecting the tubular extrusion segments, each segment connector having a main body portion and a plurality of insert portions extending from and unitary with the respective main body portion, the plurality of tubular extrusion segments including a plurality of panel holding tubular extrusion segments, each with edge panel retainer strips attached thereto that secure an edge portion of the paneling to the respective tubular extrusion segment.

Abstract: A hydrodynamic power generation assembly and method of use therefor for generating electrical power from the combination of kinetic energy, hydrostatic energy, and turbulent energy of water. The power generation assembly comprises a water accelerator assembly comprising a support structure which is at least partially buoyant and a baffle panel member (or an array of baffle panel members) having an opening, inter-panel spacing, or flow passageway around the baffle panel(s). A hydropower converter is supported from, by, or on the support structure and is operatively coupled to a generator. The hydropower converter is positioned behind baffle assembly. Water flowing through or around the baffle assembly has an increased velocity relative the ambient current and therefore is capable of generating more power relative to the ambient water where power generation assembly is deployed. Particular types of hydropower converters suitable for use with the invention are turbines and water wheels.

Abstract: A submersible raft device that is primarily used for aquaculture farming. The raft device has a raft surface, a buoyance support structure, and a submersion control system. The buoyance support structure and the submersion control system allow the raft to be submerged to a desired depth beneath the ocean surface. When used for certain kinds of aquaculture farming, such as mussel farming, submerging the raft below the surface protects the raft, as well as the mussels growing on ropes suspended from the raft, from damage in times of hazardous sea conditions.

Abstract: A fiberglass pontoon boat, having raised and integrated fiberglass side rails, a flat floor, and a side entry level with the flat floor. Integrated seats are molded in fiberglass. The hull and deck join together by flexing the hull to compensate for opposing draft angles of the hull and deck at the side entry. The deck has a floor and at least one other interior component, and terminates in a deck trim flange. The hull has at least two hollow pontoons and at least two side rails that extend from an outer edge of the pontoons, and the hull terminates in a hull trim flange. When assembled, the hull trim flange operatively engages beneath the deck trim flange to form a unified pontoon boat having a space between the deck and hull and wherein the side rails are integrated as structural parts of the interior component.

Abstract: Low or no disturbance sampling can be accomplished such as through a single-platform aquatic species and habitat sampling system with data integration and rapid processing capabilities that can address the need for sampling at variable depths over varied habitats, along with the simultaneous collection of linked physical and biological data. The platform may be based on a 24-36 foot boat, and may include a net mouth opener brace for an adjustable concentrator net and smaller drift net which may be attached to an adjustable sample chamber, perhaps containing variable mesh capture nets as well as cameras, water sampling equipment, and water quality sensors integrated with a fish finder, GPS, and other monitoring and data recording equipment. The depth of the net mouth opener brace and sample chamber may be adjustable using a depth control.

Abstract: An extendable hull system movable between a mono-hull to a multi-hull configuration is provided so as to take advantage of both types of hull designs depending on the boating conditions. The extendable hull system provides a center hull portion and two side hull portions, each with separate planing surfaces in an expanded multi-hull configuration, and providing a shared planing surface in the contracted mono-hull configuration. The extendable hull system provides a pivotably connected railing system along a periphery of the side hull portions for moving to a deployed configuration providing additional walking surface. The extendable hull system provides a retractable awning movable between positions for covering the mono-hull and the multi-hull configuration.

Abstract: A mooring apparatus using a submerged pontoon that does not interfere with floaters and sailing vessels, is not affected by oceanic weather conditions by being submerged at a constant depth, easily separates the floater such as FPSO from the submerged pontoon, in order to cope with an emergency such as stormy weather and avoids collision, and, upon the emergency being terminated, enables the floater such as FPSO to return to the operation area and moor to the submerged pontoon and start the operation. An apparatus for mooring a floater using a submerged pontoon including a submerged pontoon that is placed and fixed at a constant depth below the bottom of the floater, wherein the submerged pontoon is fabricated with buoyant pipes, assumes a planar polygon, is lashed by ropes that are connected to weights or anchors on the seabed and is lashed by ropes that are connected to the floater.
