    Abstract: A gripping detection device includes a capacitive sensor part that is provided at a spoke portion of a steering wheel and includes a detection electrode facing a rim portion of the steering wheel; a control part configured to control the capacitive sensor part; and a determination part configured to determine presence or absence of a finger gripping the rim portion based on a hover detection result obtained by the capacitive sensor part. The control part includes a processor, and a memory storing one or more programs, which when executed, cause the processor to: use a core metal of the steering wheel as a shield electrode of the capacitive sensor part.

    Abstract: A capacitive sensor device for use with a steering wheel is provided. The steering wheel includes a rim and a spoke that is connected to the inner side of the rim, and the sensor device is provided on the spoke. The sensor device includes an electrode configured to be capacitively coupleable to an object to be detected, and includes a controller configured to detect a change in capacitance of the electrode, and determine whether the object is in proximity to the rim or the spoke based on the change in the capacitance of the electrode. The change in the capacitance occurs in response to the object being in proximity to the rim or the spoke.

    Abstract: A steering wheel includes a boss portion disposed at a rotation steering center side, a grip portion disposed around the boss portion, and an operation lever portion disposed between the boss portion and the grip portion. The operation lever portion is pivotally supported by a rotation shaft portion provided close to the boss portion, and is configured to allow a press-down operation and a pull-up operation while the grip portion is gripped. A press-down operation surface of the operation lever portion is disposed along a grip surface being an upper surface of the grip portion, at a side separated from the rotation shaft portion and close to the grip portion, between the grip surface and an upper surface of a pad covering an upper surface of the boss portion.     Abstract: An apparatus for generating a warning vibration of a steering wheel includes, a reservoir disposed within the steering wheel and filled with a non-conductive fluid, a connection tube connected to the reservoir and configured to form a hydraulic line of the non-conductive fluid, an actuator disposed within the steering wheel, connected to the connection tube, and configured to vibrate according to inflow and outflow of the non-conductive fluid from the connection tube, a positive electrode and a negative electrode disposed on opposite sides of the reservoir, a high voltage power supplier configured to supply a high voltage to be applied to the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and a vibration generation controller configured to selectively apply an output voltage of the high voltage power supplier to the positive electrode and the negative electrode.
