Abstract: People & Cargo Transit Systems & Vehicles (PCTSV), using Narrow Vehicles (NV), which can have the form of a Bus, Train, Tram, Maglev, Mono-Rail, even Car or Truck. A preferred version of which is Single Seat Wide, preferably a Bus type to need no Rail, using Dedicated Narrow Lanes adjacent to Curbside of existing intra-city streets or limits of inter-city roads. NV and Lane have Anti-Roll Over Means to stabilize such a narrow vehicle, which also eliminate NV Swaying even when NV is a Bus or Car with no inherent Sway Limiting. Being Ultra Narrow with No Sway and Running at Curbside results in Negligible or No Blocking of other vehicles by NV. Lane/Tack, Anti-Sway & Anti-Roll Structures all Allow being Run Over by other Traffic and have structures not to be damaged, thus can be crossed over at Crossroads and other entrances and exits along the Lane. NV has enough Doors and is Narrow, hence each Passenger can reach a seat or exit, with No Isle inside it to walk along. So it can have Low Profile, like a Sports Car. Hence it is easy to have Covered Trenches at cross roads for non-stop crossing. Trenches can run along most or all the Track, in which case adherence to streets and roads is relieved. Such Narrow and Shallow Trenches take a tiny fraction of time and costs of Skyways or Subways. Each Passenger thus can have her own door, own seat, in a small Cabin, which can be opened and closed to next Cabin, have reclining seats to join to that of next Cabin to sleep on, have laptop tray, etc. All those make PCTSV much more appealing to user's, even better than private transport. There are many Variations other than above. There is an NV Car for the last mile and or long distance use, which can integrate with NV Public Transit. Also modifications to NVs for use in Cargo and Parcel Transit.

Abstract: A tram has a lead vehicle and one or more trailing vehicles coupled to it. Each vehicle has sets of front and rear wheels, both sets being steerable independently of the other. A manual controller provides signals to a processor in the lead vehicle, which in turn steers the front and rear wheels along a desired path. A processor on the first trailing vehicle controls front and rear servos to steer its wheels according to the path of the rear wheels of the leading vehicle. The second trailing vehicle has a processor that steers its front and rear wheels according to information provided by the first leading vehicle. Steering sensors on the vehicles sense distance to a steering rail while the vehicles are on a guideway and provide signals to the processors for automatic steering. While on a guideway, the tram uses power collectors to transfer power from the guideway.

Abstract: A running gear unit for low-floor rail vehicles includes a running gear frame on which individual wheels are rotatably mounted through a respective rocker and the rocker is articulatingly attached and supported by primary springs. The running gear frame is connected to a car body of the low-floor rail vehicle through two articulated rods having one end being articulatingly mounted at a distance from one another on a crossmember of the running gear frame and another end being likewise articulatingly attached to the car body. Transverse stops are disposed at a distance from one another in the crossmember for limiting transverse movement of the car body relative to the running gear unit. In order to construct the running gear unit in such a way that the floor area in the car body is at a continuous low level and the wheels of the running gear unit can be steered, the rocker is mounted on a horizontal axle disposed in the transverse direction of the running gear unit, on a bolster which is articulatingly secured about a vertical axis on the running gear frame.
