Abstract:
Seat components and claddings for railway molded or formed from a thermoplastic polymer composition comprising, based on the total weight of the composition, 50 to 93 wt. % of a specific polycarbonate; 4 to 30 wt. % of a poly(carbonate-siloxane) comprising bisphenol A carbonate units, and siloxane units; 3 to 20 wt. % of an organophosphorus compound in an amount effective to provide 0.1 to 2.0 wt. % of phosphorus, based on the total weight of the thermoplastic polymer composition; wherein an article having a thickness of 0.5 to 10 mm molded from the composition has a Ds-4 smoke density≦300 measured according to ISO 5659-2, and a MAHRE≦90 kW/m2 measured according to ISO 5660-1, a multiaxial impact energy≧100 J, and a ductility in multiaxial impact of 80 to 100% at +23° C. according to ISO 6603.
Abstract:
A process for determining the distribution of seats of a passenger cabin, whereby the cabin includes at least one row of seats arranged essentially one behind the other along a longitudinal axis, and the cabin includes element for arranging each seat in a position on the ground among a set of possible positions spaced longitudinally at known intervals, includes a phase for optimization of the spacing of seats according to an overall comfort function of passengers, taking into account bodily characteristics that are specific to at least some of the passengers, including the length of the front segment of the passengers' legs, and the purpose of the optimization is to maximize a comfort function taking into account in particular the space that is free for each passenger between his knees and the seat that is located in front of him. The purpose of the invention is also the related device.
Abstract:
A vehicle body able to withstand fluctuating external pressure while providing ample space for the passengers, by having a multiplicity of substantially square, first frames each having reinforced portions on two upper corners thereof, provided by rounding inner surfaces of the two upper corners, and a multiplicity of substantially square, second frames having reinforced portions on two lower corners thereof provided by rounding inner surfaces of the two lower corners. They are arranged alternately over the length of the vehicle body, and are connected together by longitudinal structural members. A shell plate is attached to the substantially square frames at their outer surfaces, to provide a substantially square vehicle body.
Abstract:
A backrest includes a panel-shaped base member that is provided along a main surface which includes a reference line extending in a direction intersecting a floor surface of a vehicle, and a retaining member that is provided on a front surface of the base member and that has a front surface which has a curved surface shape in a state in which the retaining member is supporting a load in a direction toward the main surface. Due to this configuration, the retaining member presents a curved surface shape due to the load of a standing passenger when the passenger leans against the backrest, and thereby the passenger's body can be stably retained.
