摘要: A vehicular vision system includes a plurality of vehicle cameras disposed at a vehicle, a trailer camera disposed at a trailer, and a video display screen disposed at the vehicle and viewable by a driver of the vehicle. When the trailer is hitched to the vehicle, the trailer camera captures image data and provides captured image data to an electronic control unit (ECU). The plurality of vehicle cameras capture image data and provide captured image data to the ECU. An auxiliary camera is detachably attached at an exterior side portion of the trailer. With the auxiliary camera detachably attached at the exterior side portion of the trailer and during a reversing maneuver of the vehicle with the trailer hitched to the vehicle, and responsive to a user input, video images derived from the image data captured by the auxiliary camera are displayed for viewing by the driver of the vehicle.

摘要: A vehicular trailering assist system includes at least one vehicle camera, an electronic control unit (ECU) and a display screen disposed at a vehicle. When a trailer hitched to the vehicle is not a trailer for which the vehicular trailering assist system has been previously calibrated, the driver is instructed to calibrate the system for the trailer. When the vehicular trailering assist system is calibrated, the system determines an obstacle-free path of travel for the vehicle and the trailer to follow to maneuver toward a target location. The system controls steering of the vehicle to maneuver the vehicle and the trailer along the determined obstacle-free path of travel. While the vehicle and the trailer are maneuvered along the determined obstacle-free path of travel, the determined obstacle-free path of travel is displayed on the display screen overlaying displayed video images derived from image data captured by the vehicle camera.

摘要: Aspects of the present invention relate to a composite image generation system (1) for a vehicle. The system includes one or more controller (10). The composite image generation system (1) has an input configured to receive first image data (DIMG1) from a first imaging device (C1), the first image data (DIMG1) has a first time stamp (TST1-(t)) indicative of a time at which the first image data (DIMG1) was captured by the first imaging device (C1); and second image data (DIMG2) from a second imaging device (C2), the second image data (DIMG2) has a second time stamp (TST2-(t)) indicative of a time at which the second image data (DIMG2) was captured by the second imaging device (C2). The one or more controller (10)is configured to compare the first time stamp (TST1-(t)) with the second time stamp (TST2-(t)) to determine a time stamp discrepancy (TSTΔ). The one or more controller (10) generates composite image data (DIMG3) comprising at least a part of the first image data (DIMG1) and at least a part of the second image data (DIMG2). The one or more controller (10) is configured to control the output of the composite image data (DIMG3) in dependence on the time stamp discrepancy (TSTΔ). The present invention also relates to a vehicle; and to a method of generating a composite image.

摘要: A vehicular vision system includes an electronic control unit (ECU), a plurality of exterior viewing vehicle cameras that capture image data and provide captured image data to the ECU. When the vehicle is towing a trailer, a rearward-viewing trailer camera captures image data and provides captured image data to the ECU. A video mirror display screen is disposed at an interior rearview mirror assembly of the vehicle and is operable to display video images derived from video image data provided from the ECU. The mirror assembly is adjustable between a mirror mode and a display mode. The mirror assembly, when in the display mode, is operable by the driver of the vehicle to display at the video mirror display screen (i) a single image display of video images, (ii) a dual image display of video images or (iii) a three image display of video images.

摘要: A vehicle system includes a display device that simulates a rear-facing mirror (e.g., rearview mirror). The display device displays a first video captured by a first camera to simulate the rear-facing mirror. The system detects a change in an orientation of the display device from a first orientation to a second orientation and, in response, causes the display device to display a second video captured by a second camera to maintain the simulation of the rearview mirror but from the second orientation. Alternatively, the system causes a corresponding change in the perspective of the first video being displayed on the display device thereby maintaining the effect of the rearview mirror.

摘要: A vehicle exterior environment recognition apparatus includes a monocular distance calculator, a relaxation distance calculator, and an updated distance calculator. The monocular distance calculator calculates a monocular distance of a three-dimensional object from a luminance image generated by an imaging unit. The relaxation distance calculator calculates a relaxation distance of the three-dimensional object from two luminance images generated by two imaging units based on a degree of image matching between the two luminance images determined using a threshold more lenient than another threshold used to determine the degree of image matching to generate a stereo distance of the three-dimensional object. The updated distance calculator calculates an updated distance of the three-dimensional object by mixing the monocular distance and the relaxation distance at a predetermined ratio.
