摘要： A seat assembly includes a seat frame, a back frame defining a back plane pivotally connected to the seat frame at a pivot joint, a back support slideably secured to the back frame, and a back support adjusting mechanism. The back support adjusting mechanism includes a first linking member coupling the back support to the seat frame and pivotable about the pivot axis, and a first slide member slideably supported by the back frame and operatively connected to the first linking member. A second slide member is affixed to the back support and slideably supported by the back frame. A second linking member operatively connects the first and second slide members. Pivoting movement of the back frame from the upright position to the reclined position slides the first slide member away from the pivot axis, causing the second linking member to slide the back support toward the pivot axis.

In connection with a load peak position of the pelvis of a seated occupant as detected by a pelvis displacement sensor disposed in the seat cushion of a seat, a control device compares an initial peak position and a peak position after displacement. At the same time, the control device detects a shoulder blade position from load distribution of the chest of the seated occupant, detected by a chest displacement detecting sensor disposed in the upper portion of a seat back, and compares an initial position detected in advance and an after-displacement position. Next, the control device moves the seating position of a seat cushion in a direction to eliminate dislocation between the initial peak position and the after-displacement peak position, and moves the upper portion of the seat back in a direction to eliminate dislocation between the initial position and the after-displacement position of the shoulder blade of the seated occupant.

The seat further includes a traveling mechanism which automatically moves the back part longitudinally from the seat length to the shorter stowage length when the back part is folded into the first stowage position.

The apparatus further includes a guide for directing a restraint which is adapted to pass over a shoulder of an occupant of the seat.
