Abstract:
A refuse vehicle includes a body including a cab, a door assembly, and a linkage assembly. The door assembly is coupled to the cab and includes a first door panel and a second door panel. The first door panel is rotatably coupled to the second door panel and has an unfolded position and a folded position. The linkage assembly is configured to reposition the door assembly between a closed position and an open position relative to the cab. In a first state the door assembly is in the closed position the second door panel is in the unfolded position, and in a second state the door assembly is in the open position and the second door panel is in the folded position. The linkage assembly may include a first linkage coupled between the cab and the door assembly and a second linkage coupled between the cab and the door assembly.
Abstract:
Multiple actuation devices may be coupled to a shipping crate. A first actuation device may be coupled to a first end of the shipping crate and a second actuation device may be coupled to a second end of the shipping crate. The actuation devices include various telescopic columns, by which the shipping crate may be raised and lowered. Some of the columns include a caster for rolling the shipping crate. Other columns include a drive unit for driving the shipping crate. By utilizing the actuation devices, the shipping crate may be loaded and unloaded from a trailer without the need for a forklift.
Abstract:
Transport container (1), in particular vehicle body or receptacle, with a frame structure (2) enclosing a transport space, with a wall unit (3) which is connected to the frame structure (2) and which has a side wall (4), and with an opening device (9) for transferring the wall unit (3) between a closure position bearing on the frame structure (2), in which closure position a lateral loading opening (10) of the frame structure (2) is closed by the side wall (4), and an open position freeing the lateral loading opening (10), wherein the opening device (9) has a lifting arm (11) connected in a hinged manner to the wall unit (3). The lifting arm (11) is connected to the frame structure (3) via two pivot arms (14), wherein hinges (15) are provided between the pivot arms (14) and the lifting arm, and hinges (16) are provided between the pivot arms (14) and the frame structure (2), wherein the hinges (15) between the pivot arms (14) and the lifting arm (11) and the hinges (16) between the pivot arms (14) and the frame structure (2) are arranged at a distance from each other in each case.
Abstract:
A door system includes a door panel and a door panel frame. The door panel frame includes a peripheral web, an outer flange extending outwardly from the web, a seal flange extending inwardly from the web, and a guard flange extending inwardly from the web. The seal flange is outboard of the guard flange. Lower portions of the seal flange may include perforations there through to allow water that may accumulate between the seal flange and the guard flange to exit the frame outwardly.
Abstract:
A danger sensing apparatus includes a data collecting unit disposed at each of a side rear-view mirror of the vehicle and an inner portion of the vehicle to collect image data of a side region of the vehicle and a situation of a door region of the inner portion of the vehicle as data; a data analyzing unit analyzing the data collected from the data collecting unit to analyze a danger object approaching an outer side of the vehicle and the situation of the door region of the inner portion of the vehicle; and a controlling unit controlling operations of a drive train of the vehicle and the door based on a signal analyzed from the data analyzing unit.

Abstract:
An apparatus (1) for transferring a wall (2) of a transport container (3), particularly of an automotive body or a container, between a closed position and an open position, comprising at least one link (4) which is pivotably mounted about a rotational axis (4′, 4″) on the transport container (3) and on the wall (2) of the transport container (3), and a first drive (5) connected to the link (4) for pivoting the wall (2) from the closed position into the open position and vice versa, wherein a further drive (6) is provided, which is designed to displace the wall (2), at least in a region adjoining a corner region (3′) of the transport container, from the closed position substantially perpendicularly to the extension plane of the wall (2) away from the transport container (3), and vice versa.
Abstract:
A bed has been provided for use with a vehicle in which the bed has a side loading apparatus and an opposite opening side wall through which material can be dumped from the bed.
Abstract:
This invention describes a dynamic hub system in which a transportation hub is dynamically formed by tractors that carry special design trailers. The location coordinates of the hub are conveyed a-priori to individual tractors that are going to participate in hub formation. Once the subject tractors arrive at the hub coordinates, they park and align themselves according to a pre-specified orientation and order. This information is transmitted to each truck from the control center via a wireless communication system such as GPRS. The novel electro-mechanic design of trailers allows trucks to form a portable hub, when get together. Dynamic hub system spares carriers from high cost of fixed hubs, and increases operational efficiency by lowering asset consolidation and redistribution times.
Abstract:
A load hauling vehicle such as a truck or trailer having a bed which can be loaded or unloaded either from the side or the rear of the bed. The present invention has one or both side walls which are hinged at the bottom edge to an adjacent edge of the bottom of the bed so that the side walls can be swung by an actuator to raise and lower the side walls. The present invention further provides a mobile display with at least one secondary lifting arm that raises an advertisement to be prominently displayed to potential customers. Further, the side walls of the present invention can serve as a portable stage.
