    摘要: A pneumatic tire includes, on a tread surface, circumferential main grooves extending in a tread circumferential direction, and land portions defined between circumferential main grooves adjacent in a tread width direction among the circumferential main grooves, or by a circumferential main groove and a tread edge. The land portions include widthwise grooves (and/or widthwise sipes), extending in the tread width direction, each including a gradually decreasing groove (sipe) width portion in which a groove (sipe) width gradually decreases from the tread surface towards an inner side in the tire radial direction, a constant groove (sipe) width portion that extends from the gradually decreasing groove (sipe) width portion towards the inner side in the tire radial direction and has a constant groove (sipe) width, and a branched groove (sipe) portion branching and extending from the constant groove (sipe) width portion towards the inner side in the tire radial direction.

    摘要: Various embodiments of a tire having a three-dimensional tire sipe are disclosed. In one embodiment, a tire sipe used in a tire is provided, the tire sipe comprising: a radially inner sipe taper portion having a radially inner sipe width W3 and a radially inner sipe transition width W4, wherein the radially inner sipe width W3 is greater than the radially inner sipe transition width W4; a radially outer sipe taper portion having a radially outer sipe width W1 and a radially outer sipe transition width W2, wherein the radially outer sipe width W1 is greater than the radially outer sipe transition width W2; and a sipe radially central portion having a plurality of individual sipe radially angled portions oriented in a zig-zag pattern, wherein the sipe radially central portion is oriented radially between the radially inner sipe taper portion and the radially outer sipe taper portion.

    摘要: Tread (1) for a heavy-duty vehicle tire having a total thickness corresponding to the thickness of material to be worn away during running, this tread having, in the new state, a tread surface (10) intended to come into contact with a roadway when running. The tread comprises at least one hidden cavity (2) forming a new groove opening onto the tread surface after a predetermined amount of partial wear. Cavity (2) comprises two opposite lateral walls (21, 22) connected together by bottom (23) radially towards the inside and by crown part (24) radially towards the outside. Crown part (24) is provided with a plurality of fine grooves (25) extending radially towards the outside from crown part (24) delimiting the cavity and extending in a direction that makes an angle at least equal to 40 degrees with the main direction of cavity (2).

A sipe is formed, on each of a leading side edge and a trailing side edge, with a chamfered portion shorter than a sipe length of a sipe, a non-chamfered region in which no other chamfered portion is present is provided in a part facing each of the chamfered portions, at least one end of the sipe communicates with the auxiliary groove, one end of the chamfered portion adjacent to the auxiliary groove in the rib communicates with the auxiliary groove, a maximum depth×(mm) of the sipe and a maximum depth y (mm) of the chamfered portion satisfy a relationship x×0.1≤y≤x×0.3+1.0, and a sipe width W of the sipe is constant in a range from an end positioned in the radial direction inside the chamfered portion to a groove bottom of the sipe.

    摘要: A motorcycle tire is provided in the tread portion with first inclined main grooves and second inclined main grooves which are arranged alternately in the tire circumferential direction while inclining in opposite directions.     摘要: Embodiments of the invention include methods for reducing deformation of a sipe-molding member (10) arising during manufacturing operations, and sipe-molding members (10) comprising a sipe-forming portion (12) and a plurality of stiffening members (20) spaced along the sipe-forming portion. The sipe-forming portion (12) has a length extending in a lengthwise direction of the sipe-molding member (10), a height configured to extend into a depth of a molding cavity, and a thickness extending perpendicular to both the length and height. The sipe-molding member (10) is configured to form a sipe having a thickness commensurate with the thickness of the sipe-forming portion, a length formed by at least a portion of the length of the sipe-forming portion, and a depth formed by at least a portion of the height of the sipe-forming portion. Each of the plurality of stiffening members (20) extend outwardly from the thickness of the sipe-forming element. Further embodiments include methods of forming a molded tire tread.
