摘要: A tread pattern of a pneumatic tire includes three or more circumferential main grooves extending in a tire circumferential direction, a plurality of lug grooves provided in a land portion defined by two circumferential main grooves, and a sipe provided between adjacent lug grooves. The sipe is a composite sipe having a two-dimensional portion and a three-dimensional portion. Among open ends on both sides of the lug groove, an open end on an identical side to an end portion of the sipe at which the two-dimensional portion is provided is provided with a raised bottom portion.

摘要: A pneumatic tire is provided. Center blocks in a center region are in pairs across grooves inclined with respect to a circumferential direction. Each of the center blocks extends from one side to the other of an equator and includes a notch defined by a first and second walls connected in a V-shape in a tread contact surface. The first wall extends within ±20° of the circumferential direction, the second wall extends within ±10° of a lateral direction, an average angle of sipes formed in one of the center blocks and the shoulder blocks is smaller than or equal to 90°±10° with respect to the equator for a first region, smaller than or equal to 130°±10° for a second region, and smaller than or equal to 70°±10° for a third region, and each of the sipes includes at least one bent portion.

摘要: The invention relates to a tread block arrangement of a tread band or a tire. The tread block arrangement forms a tread that is meant for a rolling contact against a ground surface, wherein the tread is provided with at least one longitudinal groove. The tread block arrangement limits a first number (NT) of sipes, of which a second number (NTT) are transversal sipes of which a third number (N) of sipes form a group. For each sipe of the group, the tread block arrangement forms a bottom a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and a first end wall. The end first end wall of each sipe of the group is configured such that a distance between the first end wall of the sipe in question and an outer side of the pneumatic tire or the tread band is less than a distance between the other end of the sipe in question and the outer side. Moreover, at least a part of the first end wall of the sipe in question has a first surface normal of the sipe in question, and the first surface normal of the sipe in question forms a first angle of the sipe in question of at least 20 degrees with the tread. Furthermore, the ratio (NTT/NT) of the second number (NTT) to the first number (N) is at least 75% and the ratio (N/NTT) of the third number (N) to the second number (NTT) is at least 20%.

摘要: By forming a ground contact edge side of lug grooves such that the groove depth becomes shallower in groove depth from the tire equatorial plane side toward the ground contact edge, and by setting an average angle of inclination formed between a tread face and a groove bottom to be not more than 5°, water expulsion is performed smoothly in the vicinity of the ground contact edge while securing the rigidity of land portions in the vicinity of the ground contact edge. This enables a high degree of both wet performance and dry performance to be achieved.

摘要: A pneumatic tire has a high wet performance with keeping steering stability and wear resistance. Each of the middle land portions (12) is provided with middle sipes (15) and a middle sub-groove (16). Each of the middle sipes (15) has an arc-like shape such that an angle (θ1) with respect to the circumferential direction of the tire gradually increases from its inner end (15i) towards its outer end (15o). A circumferential length (L2) is in a range of from 0.6 to 1.0 times the arrangement pitch (P2) of the middle sipe (15). The middle sub-groove (16) communicates with a shoulder main groove (10), terminates without communicating with a crown main groove (9), and has an arc-like shape having an angle (θ2) that gradually increases from its inner end (16i) to its outer end (16o). A length (L3) of the middle sub-groove (16) is less than the length (L2) of the middle sipe, and the adjacent middle sipe (15) and middle sub-groove (16) overlap one another in the axial direction of the tire.

The land portions 4 include an inside shoulder land region 10 provided with inside shoulder lateral grooves 17. Each of the land regions 4 is provided with sipes 20 each extending across the entire width of the land region and having a width less than 3 mm.

The pneumatic tire according to the present invention includes, in a tread portion surface located between both tread ends, a plurality of main grooves extending in a tire circumferential direction; a plurality of lateral grooves extending in a tire width direction, the lateral grooves each having one bent point so as to be in a convex shape in the tire circumferential direction between the main grooves and/or between the main groove and the tread end, the plurality of main grooves and the plurality of lateral grooves partition-forming a plurality of blocks each including a circumferential protrusion in a shape conforming to the convex shape of the lateral groove, the blocks each including at least one lateral sipe extending in the tire width direction in a shape conforming to the lateral grooves, in which the lateral sipe is equal in tire-width-direction dimension to the block having the lateral sipe disposed therein when both are projected onto the same plane which includes the tire rotation axis and is perpendicular to the block surface.
