摘要: A carbonless form is provided that may be folded selectively into a duplicating state or a non-duplicating state. In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, a carbonless form is provided comprising a form sheet, a transverse fold line, an assigned data entry portion, and an exposed data entry portion. The form sheet defines a front face, a rear face, a top edge, a bottom edge, and a pair of side edges. The transverse fold line extends across the form sheet to define a first panel and a second panel on opposite sides of the transverse fold line. The assigned data entry portion is defined on the rear face of the second panel. The exposed data entry portion is defined on the front face of the first panel. A CB coating is applied to the rear face of the form sheet in the first panel and a CF coating is applied to the rear face of the form sheet in the second panel. The transverse fold line, the CB coating, and the CF coating are arranged such that the form sheet may be folded selectively about the transverse fold line into either a duplicating or a non-duplicating state. The duplicating state is characterized by juxtaposition of the CB and the CF coating. The non-duplicating state defines a common printing face including the assigned data entry portion of the second panel rear face and the exposed data entry portion of the first panel front face.

摘要: A truck driver's recording system and apparatus for recording the duty status, expenses, and daily vehicle inspection report is disclosed. The apparatus provides a plurality of preprinted carbonless sheets arranged in sets for recording the applicable information. The sets are arranged and prescored for separation. An inner cover is provided to eliminate an impression from being transferred to subsequent sheets, and an outer cover is provided for protection of the recording apparatus. A stiffening board is provided to prevent damage to the apparatus. A method of providing advertising space upon a truck driver's recording system and apparatus is also disclosed.

摘要: Conditionally self-copying stationery is provided wherein a carbon copy of handwritten material can be made dependently upon the attitude of insertion of a copy sheet. The copy sheet has a carbon back coating on one face thereof and each of the writing sheets in a pad has a carbon front coating on the upper surface thereof. Dependently upon whether the copy sheet is inserted such that its carbon back coating makes contact with a carbon front coating or not, so a carbon copy is selectably made or not made. The copy sheet is the conventional writing guide found in writing pads, and is printed on both sides with writing guidelines.

摘要: Sets of manifold business forms are coated on selected surfaces thereof with chemicals which are capable of reacting with each other to produce a colored mark. In one arrangement at least one intermediate sheet is coated on one surface with a composition of a record-developing material (which is generally solid) and a non-compatible color precursor (which is generally in the form of a microencapsulated liquid) to thereby function as both a record-receiving and a color-transfer surface upon reacting with the coating of at least another separate sheet of the set containing another compatible color precursor and/or another record-developing material on the surface thereof. In another arrangement, some of the sheets are coated front and back with a record-developing material, while others are coated front and back with a microencapsulated color precursor. In each of the arrangements the sheets of the manifolded sets are capable of being so arranged such that by removal of certain parts of the sets or turning certain parts upside down and applying pressure on the backs of the sets, images may be developed on both sides of the sheets.

摘要: A pressure-sensitive carbonless transfer sheet comprising a paper substrate having a front and back surface and a coating composition adhered to at least one of the front and back surfaces of the paper substrate. A novel process is provided for producing a pressure-sensitive carbonless transfer sheet which comprises the steps of preparing a hot melt suspending medium, the hot melt suspending medium being water insoluble and having a melting point of from about 60.degree. C. to about 140.degree. C. and a melting point range of less than about 15.degree. C. A microencapsulated chromogenic material is prepared and dispersed in the hot melt suspending medium, the chromogenic material being a color precursor of the electron donating type. A coating dispersion is prepared by combining the hot melt suspending medium with the microencapsulated chromogenic color precursor material, the hot melt suspending medium being compatible with the color forming or developing characteristics of the chromogenic material. The coating dispersion is then applied to a substrate, the coating dispersion being applied at a coat weight of from about 1.0 pounds to about 8.0 pounds per 3300 square feet of substrate at a coat thickness of from about 1 micron to about 50 microns. The coated substrate is set by cooling the coating dispersion.
