The web of expandable bags includes a plurality of connected bags. Each bag includes a front ply and a back ply, and each bag is connected to an adjacent bag by a perforated connection. The front and back plies are joined to define a compartment that includes a first side, a second side, a third side that extends between the first side and the second side, and a bag opening that is configured to be closed. The front and back plies include a plurality of slits, and the plurality of slits are arranged in a plurality of spaced apart rows. The plurality of slits allows the compartment to expand in a direction that is perpendicular to the arrangement of the plurality of slits.

    摘要: An optical encoder is mounted on the end of the shaft of one roller, which is in turn mounted on framework of the equipment and is driven by a film of material. A computer receives a number of impulses per roller revolution with such impulses transmitted from the optical encoder during the film's passing over the roller. Software of the computer is programed with the exact circumference of the roller before shipment and the computer calculates the amount of film that has passed over the roller and fires solenoid valves to precipitate punching operations based upon the distance traveled by the film. Upon receiving an electrical impulse from the computer control, a solenoid valve releases an intermittent burst of compressed air through a tube to a housing which contains a plastic actuator, a plunger and a spring and which has several holes drilled in it to facilitate movement of said compressed air. The burst of compressed air forces the actuator and plunger downward. After the actuator bottoms out said burst of air is exhausted, the plunger continues to travel downward until the tip of the plunger, containing a steel ball contacts a circular hole in the die which is located in the lower portion of the machine. The force of the ball striking the die cuts the material that is moving between the two components. A spring which rests between the housing and the plunger returns the plunger and actuator to their resting position. The cut out pieces of material travel downward through the hollow center of the die and its holder and are carried by the stream of air created by the suction of the vacuum system through the chambers and ducts of the machine being deposited in a receptacle, preventing the haphazard accumulation of scrap occurring with the prior art.

    摘要: A bag making apparatus includes an intermittent feed device for feeding sheet panels, an adjustment device for detecting upper and lower thresholds for a length of the sheet panels included in a section from a first drive roller pair to a second drive roller pair, a movement device for moving a processing device and a sensor together as a movable group in the longitudinal direction of the sheet panels. The movement device moves the movable group upstream in response to the adjustment device detecting the upper threshold and moves the movable group downstream in response to the adjustment device detecting the lower threshold. If the movable group is moved, the intermittent feed device determines an intermittent feed distance based on a moving distance of the movable group in addition to output from the sensor and feeds the sheet panels by the determined distance using the first drive roller pair.

The visual indicia space(16a), i.e. the viewable space on the front (32a, 36a) of the folder which allows viewing of the enlarged tab is achieve without violating the overall size restrictions (40a) of the file folder. Instead, the front of the folder adjacent to the tab on the back panel, is cut away (32a,34a) to expose a greater portion of the back panel (14a) and allow an increase in visual indicia space. The remaining portion of the front panel, not adjacent to the tab may also be cut away (34a) to allow other enlarged tab files, with offset tabs,(22d, 21a) to be viewable behind the present file.
