Abstract:
A mechanical press, with at least one drive shaft having a driver that is eccentric with respect to a shaft axis, and a sliding block. The sliding block is driven by the driver to perform a forcibly guided movement. During an execution of a pressure stroke, the sliding block is guided on at least one sliding surface on the pressure-input side opposite to a pressure-input-side surface of a slide guide. The sliding block has a sliding surface on the pressure-output side lying opposite to the pressure-input side surface, this surface being guided on a pressure-output-side surface of the slide guide, wherein the sliding surface on the pressure-input side of the sliding block has a concave or convex curvature. The sliding surface on the pressure-output side of the sliding block has the opposite concave or convex curvature, respectively.
Abstract:
Improved bales may be formed using methods that include baling equipment with multi-component bolster assemblies that may ease installation and removal, reduce wear and tear and maintenance, and/or improve efficiency by reducing material waste, imperfections, and/or contamination. The bolster assemblies may include a plurality of coupling portions that engage a hydraulic rod and may enable the bolster assembly to self-center within a press chamber during normal baling operations. The bolster assemblies also may include an island portion that may be attached to the coupling portions and to a bolster cap, and the latter may be attached using retainer bolts having substantially flat, non-circular heads. The bolts may reduce irregularities in the bale and/or prevent material seepage into the bolster assemblies. During maintenance, an operator may remove only the bolster cap island assembly for cleaning, substantially reducing the time and strength needed to clean and/or repair the baler and reduce downtime.

Abstract:
A press machine includes a lifting mechanism that selectively lowers and lifts a die on a movable side. The lifting mechanism includes a motor driven lifting unit using a servomotor as a drive source thereof, and a hydraulically driven lifting unit using a hydraulic actuator as a drive source thereof. The lifting mechanism is controlled so as to enable the motor driven lifting unit to move the die on the movable side from a standby position to a drive system changeover position immediately before a press start position at which the die on the movable side starts contacting a workpiece to be processed and so as to enable the hydraulically driven lifting unit to move the die on the movable side from the drive system changeover position to a top dead center position.
Abstract:
A compacting apparatus (1) for compacting receptacles has at least one advancing device (2) for conveying a receptacle (G) in a conveying direction (E) to an exit opening (6) of the compacting apparatus (1). The at least one advancing device (2) is configured to act on the receptacle (G) for compacting during conveying. A flap device (5) has an adjustable retaining flap (50) that closes the exit opening (6) in a closed position so that a receptacle (G) conveyed against the retaining flap (50) by the at least one advancing device (2) is retained on the retaining flap (50). The retaining flap (50) is adjustable out of the closed position to release the exit opening (6).
Abstract:
A device for stamping and/or drilling a substrate, including two dies supported by two support assemblies configured to be moved relative to each other in translation. The assembly includes: a base; an orientable head fixed to the die; a connection mechanism between the base and the head to adjust orientation of the head relative to the base; pressure sensors configured to continuously output information about pressure applied at different points of the die; and a mechanism controlling a connection, to continuously control the orientation of the head relative to the base, in response to information output by the sensors.
Abstract:
A powder press for producing a pressed piece from a powdered material, with a frame, a punch arrangement, and a die arrangement, which defines a die cavity into which the powdered material is fillable. To form the pressed piece, the punch arrangement and the die arrangement are movable relative to one another along a press stroke axis Z-Z; are pressible against each other; and one or both contains a linking element connected to two driving means, as well as a die plate and/or punch plate guided on guiding means along the stroke direction Z-Z and connected to the linking element. The driving means are each connected to the linking element by means of a flexible connecting means which lie on a first straight line X-X which is orthogonal to the press stroke axis Z-Z. The linking element is connected to the die plate or the punch plate by means of a further flexible connecting means which is disposed, in a way equidistant to the flexible connecting means, on a second straight line Y-Y orthogonal to the press stroke axis Z-Z and orthogonal to the first straight line X-X, such that the resulting forces transmitted by the further flexible connecting means are introduced into the die plate or the punch plate at a point on a vertical straight line running through the center of gravity of the die plate or respectively the punch plate.
Abstract:
A drive arrangement for a hemming press uses a ballscrew drive arrangement with a longitudinal axis. A first gimbal connected to the externally threaded screw shaft connects the externally threaded screw shaft to a stationary member. The platen is movable with respect to the stationary member. A second gimbal connected to the internally threaded nut connects the internally threaded nut to the platen. The gimbals accommodate transaxial displacement of the screw drive arrangement. A motor applies torque to the ballscrew drive arrangement. Transaxial loading of the screw drive arrangement is accommodated by the first and/or second gimbals. Severe forces resulting from crashes are accommodated by force limiting arrangements and resilient devices.
Abstract:
A tool guiding device including a base frame and guiding rails arranged on the base frame so that they are parallel in relation to each other. At least one carriage having a machining tool is guided on the guiding rails in a linearly displaceable manner by a drive device with a carriage connecting element. The tool guiding device of this invention guides the tool in a precise, non-abrasive manner. Thus, the carriage is coupled to the carriage connection by a compensation device including at least one angle compensating element and at least one lateral compensating element.
Abstract:
The object of this invention is to provide a mechanical press that presents no inconvenience in press operations despite its low height, providing great stability and excellent durability. The invention comprises a slide guiding mechanism provided at an upper part of the adjusting member for converting the rotary motion of the eccentric part of the crankshaft into a linear reciprocating motion and a position adjusting mechanism provided at a lower part, as well as an adjusting member that advances and retracts relative to the slide, which serves for the prevention of rotation and guidance.
