The spot welding apparatus includes a fixed electrode and a movable electrode that clamp and press a workpiece formed of stacked plates of different rigidities, and a control pressing force applicator that causes a control pressing force applying actuator to bring a receiving unit provided at a distal end of a control pressing force applying arm into contact with the workpiece so as to apply a control pressing force to the workpiece. The control pressing force applying arm is made of a non-magnetic material.

    摘要: A method for fixing on a metal workpiece a connecting element permits the friction-increasing, play-free, reversible connection of workpieces to be joined. The connecting element includes a metal foil which bears on its joining surfaces hard material particles, which are fixed on the metal foil by means of a metallic binder phase. The connecting element is fixed on the metal workpiece securely for purposes of assembly and transportation by welding involving the formation of locally confined weld points. Alternatively a component includes a metal workpiece and a connecting element fixed on it securely for purposes of assembly and transportation by locally confined weld points. The connecting element permits the friction-increasing, play-free, reversible connection of workpieces to be joined and includes a metal foil which bears on its joining surfaces hard material particles, which are fixed on the metal foil by means of a metallic binder phase.

    摘要: A battery terminal strip for connecting to a terminal of at least one battery cell where the battery terminal strip includes four weld points formed in a strip of metal for each battery cell. Each of the weld points has a protrusion on a first surface of the strip of metal such that the protrusion contacts a terminal of the battery cell. The result is an air gap between the first surface of the strip of metal and the terminal of the battery cell. The air gap reduces heat transfer from the strip of metal to the battery during welding. A cross-cut is formed/cut in the strip of metal. Each segment of the cross-cut creates a gap in the strip of metal such that each gap is between two different weld points of the four weld points.
