    摘要: Provided is a water-based coating composition capable of forming a multilayer coating film having an excellent finished appearance and having excellent storage stability. A water-based coating composition to be used as a water-based first colored coating (X) in a 3-coat-1-bake multilayer coating formation method which sequentially applies a water-based first colored coating (X), a water-based second colored coating (Y), and a clear coating (Z) and heats and cures the obtained three-layer multilayer coating film simultaneously, wherein the water-based coating composition contains at least one resin selected from acrylic resins (A) and polyester resins (B), a curing agent (C), and urethane resin particles (D) obtained from structural components including a polyisocyanate component (d1) containing at least one diisocyanate (d1-1) selected from xylylene diisocyanate and hydrogenated xylylene diisocyanate and a polyol component (d2).

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for producing a multicoat paint system on a metallic substrate, in which a basecoat or a plurality of directly successive basecoats are produced directly on a metallic substrate coated with a cured electrocoat, a clearcoat is produced directly on the one basecoat or the uppermost of the plurality of basecoats, and then the one or more basecoats and the clearcoat are jointly cured, and wherein at least one basecoat material used for production of the basecoats comprises at least one aqueous dispersion comprising at least one copolymer, said copolymer being preparable by (i) initially charging an aqueous dispersion of at least one polyurethane, and then (ii) polymerizing a mixture of olefinically unsaturated monomers in the presence of the polyurethane from (i), in which (a) a water-soluble initiator is used, (b) the olefinically unsaturated monomers are metered in such that a concentration of 6.0% by weight, based on the total amount of olefinically unsaturated monomers used for polymerization, in the reaction solution is not exceeded over the entire reaction time, and (c) the mixture of the olefinically unsaturated monomers comprises at least one polyolefinically unsaturated monomer.

    摘要: An multilayer coated film comprises a waterborne intermediate-coat coating material and a waterborne basecoat coating material both containing a core/shell type resin emulsion (A) in which the core portion is an acrylic resin (A1) and the shell portion is a polyurethane resin (A2), a water-soluble or water-dispersible polyurethane resin (B), a water-soluble or water-dispersible polyester resin (C), and a melamine resin (D), and, based on the combined resin solids content by mass of aforesaid components (A) to (C), the solids content by mass of component (A) is 5-25 mass %, the solids content by mass of component (B) is 45-65 mass %, the solids content by mass of component (C) is 20-40 mass %, and the solids content by mass of component (D) is 35-45 mass %.
