Abstract:
An insert, a system, and a method are provided for dispensing a compressed gas product. The insert includes a swirl chamber, inlet ports to the swirl chamber, and an outlet orifice. The insert has specifically configured parameters relating to the diameter of the swirl chamber, the diameter of the outlet orifice, the length of the outlet orifice, and the depth of the swirl chamber. The insert, system, and method can provide a dispensed compressed gas product with a remarkably constant flow rate and with a remarkably constant particle size.
Abstract:
An apparatus for controlling a flow of fluid in an emergency fixture is disclosed. The apparatus includes a body and a control element at least partially located in the body and configured to impart rotation into the fluid flow. The control element includes an inlet that receives the fluid flow. The control element also includes a first outlet portion configured to guide a first portion of the fluid flow out of the control element as an axial flow and a second outlet portion configured to provide rotation to a second portion of the fluid flow relative to the axial flow. The first portion of the fluid flow exits the control element at a position downstream from the position that the second portion of the fluid flow exits the control element.
Abstract:
An apparatus for controlling a flow of fluid in an emergency fixture is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a first control element at least partially located in the body and configured to impart rotation into the fluid flow. The second control element comprises an inlet that receives fluid, and an outlet that divides the fluid flow into at least a first portion and a second portion. The outlet comprises a first outlet portion and a second outlet portion. The first outlet portion guides the first portion of the flow out of the flow rotation element as an axial flow, and wherein the second outlet portion provides rotation to the second portion of the flow relative to the axial flow.

A dispenser adapted to be coupled to a fluid container. The dispenser comprises a dispensing head, an energy source, and a fluid pathway. The dispensing head includes a fluid pump, a motor adapted to power the pump, a trigger adapted to control the motor, and a nozzle orifice in fluid communication with a discharge end of the pump. The fluid pathway has one portion in fluid communication with an intake end of the pump and another portion inside the container. In one embodiment, the fluid pump is a peristaltic pump. The present invention may further include a valve having a membrane for controlling flow through the valve, the membrane having open and closed positions; and an element urges the membrane to the closed position, and a vacuum pressure at one end of the valve may overcome the urging of the element, thereby moving the membrane to the open position.
Abstract:
A nozzle structure of a bidet with swirling water current is provided, in which a user controls water spraying angle of water current sprayed from an outlet of a cleaning nozzle, and the water current with swirling force is sprayed in a circular pattern without causing an eccentricity, thereby increasing cleaning power and reducing water consumption. The nozzle structure of a bidet includes a water channel unit with two internal waterchannels classified as a wide flow channel and a linear flow channel; a cleaning nozzle tip where water current passed through the wide flow channel and water current passed through the linear flow channel are combined and spouted, wherein the cleaning nozzle tip is connected to an end of the water channel unit; and a fluid mixing unit arranged in an upper portion of an interior of the cleaning nozzle tip such that the fluid mixing unit applies a torque to the water current flowing upward after passing through the wide flow channel and the linear flow channel so as to thereby generate swirling forces of water current. It is possible to prevent an eccentricity of water current and control the water spray angle to be maintained at a constant level, while generating swirling water current with varying swirling forces of water current spouting from the outlet of the cleaning nozzle tip. This enables a user to change his or her body parts contacting the water current even without moving his or her body, and increases in cleaning power.
Abstract:
The present invention is a dispenser adapted to couple to a fluid container having an opening surrounded by a neck. The dispenser comprises a cap, a dispensing head, an energy source, and a conduit. The cap is adapted to seal the opening fluid tight when the dispenser is coupled to the container. The dispensing head is pivotably secured to the cap and includes a fluid pump, a motor adapted to power the pump, a trigger adapted to actuate the motor, and a nozzle orifice in fluid communication with a discharge end of the pump. The energy source is electrically connected to the motor and extends inside the container. The conduit has a first end in fluid communication with an intake end of the pump and a second end inside the container.
Abstract:
A spray nozzle particularly useful for directing a liquid coolant onto continuously cast metal shapes. The spray nozzle includes a nozzle body having a liquid flow passageway communicating with a discharge orifice and a vane disposed within the passageway upstream of the discharge orifice. The vane has a central orifice for creating an axial flow stream and a plurality of circumferentially spaced angled passages for tangentially directing a plurality of liquid flow streams which create liquid turbulence, breakdown and intermixing with the axial flow stream such that liquid emitted from the discharge orifice is adapted for more uniform cooling of a cast metal notwithstanding changes in liquid pressure commensurate with changes in the rate at which the metal is cast.
Abstract:
A liquid atomizer for, e.g., fuel, comprises a tube having an opening for receiving pressurized liquid flow. The tube has a closed end, a wall, and a plurality of bores in the wall. The bores are disposed in consecutive circumferential rows, and are oriented at an acute angle .alpha. with respect to a radius of the tube and at an acute angle .beta. with respect to a longitudinal axis of the said tube. A shell having a discharge end with a discharge orifice encircles a portion of length of the tube, including the closed end of the tube. The shell forms an annular chamber around the tube end and an end chamber between the closed tube end and the shell discharge end. Liquid under pressure entering the tube opening is directed outwardly through the wall bores into the annular chamber, into the end chamber, and out through the discharge orifice for introduction, for example, into a combustor.
Abstract:
A drill bit with a housing and roller cones has a high-speed fluid jet erosion system utilizing dual discharge, high-velocity, jet streams that is directed at the surface to be eroded. The jet streams are developed from a dual discharge nozzle adapted to form a first, swirling liquid jet and a second, axial liquid jet in combination therewith. When used in a shale-like formation, the bit includes a nozzle in a bowl area of the housing that sends a vortex shaped spray against the roller cones.
Abstract:
A manually actuated pump sprayer of the type having a discharge nozzle cap in engagement with a probe, spin mechanics formed between the cap and the probe. A generally cylindrical fluid flow dampening chamber, formed at the end of the probe in communication with the spin chamber or being integrated with the spin chamber, has a non-smooth sidewall defined by at least one projection extending toward the axis of the probe for reducing spin energy of the fluid spinning in the dampening chamber and/or in the spin chamber about the axis to effect a solid spray cone of fluid exiting the orifice.
