    摘要: An expansible duct seal construction for a batch mixer vessel with a cover clamped to the open end of the vessel wherein a flexible duct perimetrally surrounds the cover and the end portion of the vessel adjacent the cover, the duct being secured to the sides of the vessel and including an expansion fold around its perimeter secured to the cover in a manner to prevent the escape of vaporous material. A gas under pressure is provided in the duct to balance the pressure in the duct with the gaseous pressure in the vessel and inhibit the migration of material from the vessel in the preferred form of the invention.

    摘要: An agitating or dispersing apparatus (1) with a hermetically sealed mixing chamber (5), an agitating or dispersing tool (2) that can be driven in this mixing chamber (5) about a central axis and with a rod-shaped element (3) for transferring the power of a drive (4) onto this tool (2), and with the drive (4) located outside of the mixing chamber (5). The rod-shaped element (3) is connected at the entrance into the mixing chamber (5) to a membrane (6) that is part of a wall (7) of the mixing chamber (5), and the rod-shaped element (3) can be put in a wobbling motion by the drive (4) so that its end inside the mixing chamber (5) executes a circular motion. The end of the rod-shaped element (3) located in the mixing chamber (5) attacks the tool (2) eccentrically to its axis of rotation.

    摘要: A seal for stirring apparatus, wherein the stirring apparatus comprises an elongate glass rod having a stirrer blade at one end thereof for disposition inside a laboratory flask and the like to stir the contents thereof and motor means connected with the other end of the rod to rotate the rod, said seal including a glass stopper for fitting in the neck of a flask and the like, a synthetic plastic sleeve threadably engaged at one end thereof on the stopper and sealed relative thereto, synthetic plastic seal rings disposed in the sleeve for sealingly engaging a rotatable glass rod extended coaxially through the sleeve and stopper, and a synthetic plastic seal ring clamp threadably engaged with the other end of the sleeve and extended into clamping engagement with the seal rings to effect a secure and leak tight seal of the stirring apparatus relative to the flask and the like, and to enable adjustment of the seal as it becomes worn and the like.

    摘要: There is provided an apparatus for guiding and seating a stirrer shaft for laboratory or industrial glass apparatus which consists of bearings and abutments and makes possible a change in the angle of slope of the stirrer shaft axis in the apparatus, wherein the bearing consists of a smooth disc with a concentrically arranged, spherical recess at whose deepest position there is arranged a conical bore breaking through the disc, and a body with a spherical surface and a central, axial bore which is rotatably fitted in the spherical recess of the smooth disc, whereby the stirrer shaft can be so affixed in the bore of the body, that it projects through the bore in the disc and has a stop in the abutment.

    摘要: A liquid-mixing device that minimizes solvent leakage and reduces creep of or damage to the component parts of said liquid-mixing device even at ultrahigh pressures of 100 MPa and up. Also, a liquid chromatography device using said quid-mixing device. Said liquid chromatography device is provided with a supply pump that supplies a plurality of different solutions, a liquid-mixing device that mixes the supplied solutions, a sample injection device that injects a sample into the mixture of solutions, a column that separates the components of the injected sample, and a detector that detects the separated components. The liquid-mixing device has an inlet-side connector through which the plurality of different solutions flow in, a liquid-mixing section in which said solutions are mixed, and an outflow-side connector through which the mixed solutions flow out. The inlet-side connector and the liquid-mixing section are directly bonded to each other via diffusion bonding, as are the liquid-mixing section and the exit-side connector.
