    摘要: A liquid product is dispensed via a membrane contactor. The contactor employs a plurality of gas-permeable hollow fibers. The contactor has a gas port communicating with the interior of the fibers and input and output ports for liquid communicating with space within the contactor surrounding the fibers. A gas comprising carbon dioxide or nitrous oxide is dissolved in the liquid in the contactor. The gas at a controlled pressure is supplied to the gas port. The liquid is supplied at a higher pressure than the gas to the input port for liquid from a supply of such liquid via a first valve having a first valve inlet port communicating with the supply of liquid and a first valve outlet port communicating with the inlet port for liquid. Liquid with the gas dissolved therein is dispensed from the outlet port for liquid via a dispense tap to ambient. The dispensing liquid step includes a start dispense step in which dispensing commences and a stop dispense step in which dispensing is stopped. The first valve is opened with the dispensing tap in the start dispense step, and is closed in the stop dispense step. Pressure build-up is relieved in liquid in communication with the space within the contactor surrounding the fibers after closure of the first valve and while maintaining the first valve closed. The balance between gas pressure and liquid pressure during the systems' standby periods protects the membranes from flooding.

    摘要: A device for,supplying water containing dissolved gas and a process for producing water containing dissolved gas are provided. The device and the process are capable of stably supplying water containing dissolved gas having a low dissolved gas concentration, or low degree of saturation. Oxygen gas is supplied through a gas feeding pipe (31) to a gas phase chamber (13), and a vacuum pump (35) is operated to evacuate the gas phase chamber (13). Raw water is supplied through a raw water pipe (21) to a liquid phase chamber (12). Portion of the oxygen gas in the gas phase chamber (13) permeates a gas permeable film (11) and dissolves in the raw water in the liquid phase chamber (12), and thus water containing dissolved gas is produced. Remaining oxygen gas in the gas phase chamber (13) is sucked by the vacuum pump (35) together with condensed water and is discharged through a discharge pipe (33). Dissolved oxygen concentration of the water containing dissolved gas is measured by a dissolved gas concentration meter (23), and the degree of opening of a gas flow controlling valve (32) is adjusted so that the measured concentration matches a targeted value.

A fluid gasification/degasification apparatus includes housing having a central axis and at least one fluid inlet and at least one fluid outlet positioned at different axial locations along the housing. A membrane unit that includes a plurality of bundled microporous hollow membrane strands is disposed within the housing and extends in parallel to the central axis of the housing. The fluid gasification/degasification apparatus further includes one or more gas addition/removal apparatuses for facilitating at least one of: a gas addition operation and a gas removal operation. An orientation of the fluid inlet(s) and fluid outlet(s) results in a substantial portion of a carrier fluid introduced to the housing traveling in parallel along exterior surfaces of the membrane unit thereby allowing for an extended interface time between the carrier fluid and micro-bubbles of a gas supplied to the membrane unit.

    摘要: A flexible membrane disk diffuser having an improved arrangement for sealing the membrane to the diffuser body. An enlarged sealing bead on the circumference of the membrane fits in an annular channel on the diffuser body. A retainer ring threads onto the diffuser body to compress the sealing bead against a base surface of the channel. A discontinuity on the base surface provides an effective seal with the bead without requiring undue tightening force of the retainer ring. The discontinuity may take the form of a ridge or a rut on the base surface of the channel.

    摘要: An apparatus for the gasification or aeration of liquids. Elongated aeration elements are connected to a distribution conduit and have an essentially rigid support tube having a lengthwise rounded groove about which is disposed a membrane of elastomeric material. Compressed gas introduced between the support tube and membrane escapes via slits in the membrane. An elastically deformable flange of a cylindrical portion of a fitting with a plastic semi-rigid saddle portion is disposed between the distribution conduit and one of the aeration elements, and is disposed in a bore in the conduit. The fitting has an essentially flat saddle portion, one side of which rests against the outer surface of the conduit, and the other side of which rests against an end of the aeration element. A hollow bolt is securely connected to the aeration element and is guided through a bore in the fitting into the interior of the conduit, where it is provided with apertures.
